  • What’s the biggest jockey wheel you can stick in a Campy 11 speed derailleur? Need some new pulleys for my record derailleur, and a friend offered me some 12t KCNCs.

  • Wednesday night projects.

  • Hi , I’m after one of the 12 speed rear derailleur mounting links - small arm bit that screws into the hanger - can’t find one for sale anywhere apart from the States … so shipping plus imports etc , makes it an expensive bit of ally …
Shame none of these designer types can’t knock up a 3D print one ….
If perchance someone does have one left over from an unseeded direct Mount job … let me know … winter bike up grade on hold .. !

  • Chicken cycle kit are the big campag distributor. For all those little 12 speed bits, it's worth talking to them.

  • Is there a normal 1" standard for Campagnolo 1" headsets (ISO or JIS) and can anyone confirm if this is an old Record? Got one for sale but don't have too many details for the listing. Cheers

  • How much you want for it ?
They did do a 1 1/8 inch version which was identical in its styling.
But no to answer your question nothing specific as its just a 1inch aheadset

  • The Record ones have the black plastic ring thing round the lower cup ….. and not on the same era Chorus ….

  • Been offered some nice wheels, Hope rs4 hubs.

Is anyone using these hubs with campag 12 speed, any compatibility issues?

Some sites list freehub as 11 speed, Hope product page dose say 9-12 but not
    specifically Campag 12 speed.

If I go for the wheels anyone have a Hope campag freehub new/lightly used they want to sell / swap for new Shimano freehub? 👍

  • Campagnolo freehub is the same for 9-12 speed, doesn't matter what brand. The cassettes fit on the same space.

  • Appreciate the reply but my experience with current record hubs is that they won’t run a 12 speed cassette, same for Chris King hubs.
I’ve emailed Hope for clarification, LBS said up to 11 speed only, one retailer said they would work fine with 12 speed. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • Pardon the intrusion, but I'm just discovering the vagaries of a Campagnolo triple set-up and mistakenly bought a short cage rear mech for it, which doesn't work. Do you still have a long cage rear mech going spare? Would be interested in taking it off your hands if so. Cheers.

  • Campagnolo wireless shifter patent drawings on weight weenies. They look like they are ready to produce.

  • Do you mean the tabs on the inside of the cassette hitting the spokes? You can just dremel them off.
I did this to fit 12s on my tacx neo.

  • Interesting, will keep this in mind! 👍

  • Anyone have any Euclid drivetrain they’re looking to move on?
    Long shot, appreciated

  • I recently stripped down an old (2011) Centaur crankset, cleaned it all up and re built it. When I torqued up the chain ring bolts I noticed the inner ring wasn't quite parallel to the big ring. It looks like I might be missing a spacer in between the chainrings and the hidden bolt that goes into the crank arm. Thing is I don't remember it being there when I stripped it down but I guess its possible it fell out without me noticing. This is what the hidden bolt looks like (FC-RE302), the spacer needs to be 4mm thick I think. I can't seem to find one online anywhere so hoping someone might have one or know somewhere where I could get a replacement.

  • I ordered this from Condor as I need the hidden bolt for my Athena 11speed cranks. The parcel will arrive tomorrow, I can measure the washer with my digital vernier and give you its dimensions? I presume the washer is of equal dimensions as between Athena and Centaur as the product description on the Condor page states that it is a "Genuine set of 5 chainring bolts for 5-arm Campagnolo chainsets with a hidden bolt."

I have also bought Campag spares from https://thecycleclinic.co.uk/ in the past, they might help. This page looks useful: https://thecycleclinic.co.uk/collections/bolts-and-screws. And maybe this is the part you need - https://thecycleclinic.co.uk/collections/bolts-and-screws/products/campagnolo-10-speed-chainring-spacer-fc-re006 ?

  • Thanks for that info, looks like this is the correct chainring bot set for my cranks.
    https://thecycleclinic.co.uk/products/campagnolo-ec-at300-chainring-fixing-bolts-for-power-torque-double-chainsets?_pos=2&_sid=fe9140530&_ss=r
They are sold out but paying £44 just for a spacer would be insane! I will send them an email and see if they have something that would work. I would imagine that the spacer across all those sets is probably the same dimensions but you never know with Campagnolo.

  • The prices are bonkers. I have tried drilling out a coin of the right thickness to bodge a washer, pending receipt of the hidden bolt I need. If it works I'll let you know, it's a 10 euro cent coin I think is the right thickness.

  • I did a bit more digging, I believe this is the part number 'FC-RE105 Chainring Spacer' and its 3.7mm thick. I can't find anywhere that I can buy just the spacer but called my LBS and he said to pop down as they might have something that will fit. Fingers crossed!

  • I need some 2006 Record (rear mech) spare parts and see Condor in London are an official dealer... How unlikely is it they can help me and I won't need to remortgage to afford them?

  • I may have one. Will have a dig in the spares box later.

  • Thanks Andy but Winnie at SE20 cycles came up trumps so all sorted now.

  • Excellent.

  • After being burned by Campag's weird ways recently and having to delay builds until I'd ordered new tools like 3.5mm and 7mm allen keys that seem to appear on no multi tool ever. I thought I'd get ahead of the curve after winning an Ultra Torque crank on eBay, so just thought fuck it, I'll order the tool at the same time so I can get it fitted and get the bike back on the road ASAP, as its bound to be a unique dodecahedron fitting or something.

Both arrived yesterday and its just a bloody 10mm allen key, which of course I had already,. The one bloody time I didn't have to buy a 'special' tool and I end up buying one, BAH!

When did Campag get overcome with common sense?
