I've now thrown most of the bits on, added a chain and cabled the gearing, it's waiting for someone to sit on it before the cables get cut down properly and the hydraulics sorted.
One thing that caught my attention, as the RD cable leaves the frame it touches the sides, not sure what to do there if anything?!

have you tried running the rear cable through the barrel adjuster on the left side of the frame?

use a cable liner?

The barrel holders do look like they'd work better that way... is crossing the cables along the downtube one of those things that is as controversial as socks over bibs but either way kind of works?

Wish I was this smart! Might also have some ferrules with tongues.

if you fail to find, I have some liner you can have from SE6

Lovely looking build, what’s the front rack on this?

I always do this because it avoids sharp bends and (with front brake on the left, and rear on the right) is more symmetrical, so looks nicer.

Rummaged through the spares and found a couple of ferrule tongues that sit nicely behind barrel adjusters - perfect!
This is largely built, except I failed to check for spare olive-barbs and one very long brake cable needs shortening. After years of living with SRAM hrd, bleeding Shimano brakes is so pleasingly simple.
As you can see from some of the pictures, the fork is a bit rough, I see a future spray project coming.

I have the same questionable tool. Worked really well for me so far!
After much considering but mostly waiting on parts, it was decided that an old latex gloves and a bit of inner tube didn't meet the aesthetic headset needs of this build. Some may say the functional needs but what do they know.
Armed with some questionable tools from eBay, some Hope cups were installed. Took a few attempts to get them to go in straight.
