Do you really want to spend £800 on a dishwasher?
-
• #1479
Probably not now, after having had a look at all the recommendations so far... thank you everyone.
One feature that sounds worthwhile is 'auto-open door upon cycle completion'. Kinda difficult to determine which machines have this though. Anyone have such a machine in integrated form factor?
Edit: currently looking at the AEG 6000 FSS64907Z

We have an AEG FSS53907Z with the opening thing. It’s really good. Stuff dries and there’s very rarely anything on plates etc

Thanks! Gonna go for the £500 AEG.

I bought the on here Miele. It's good. Does what it should be no fuss in a years use.
The thing that's good is how well the draws open and close, the runners etc. Maybe I over spent but if it lasts 10y it's a no brainer.

I've managed to get this far in life without ever buying a kettle. Small win. I'm now fed up with constantly leaking current hand-me-down. I don't want to spend a fortune. I'd like it to be the only one I ever purchase. Any kettle fans out there? Thanks

Ours what's a whatever one that looks ok. But it does have a final temperature option. So you can select say 70 Deg. Really useful for coffee etc.

I've got one of these and has been fine for ten years or so.
Not convinced by the quiet boil description but it is useful that you can boil just a cup or two of water.

We've just picked up a barely used Rangemaster classic for £150 cos some rich people moved house. Facebook marketplace can be great

I’ve just bought a mint sub-1yo F&P fridge for peanuts cos some rich people remodelled their kitchen twice in a year…
Door opens the ‘wrong’ way tho, will suck it up for the perceived £2.5K saving.

Usually you can reverse the doors by moving the hinges. The holes are normally there but covered by plastic plugs.

I’m sold on air fryers after staying with my friend for a week and watching him throw in eggs and bacon and it coming out great. Thinking I should get a big one with small compartments. Any recommendations?

I know there's a kettle thread but our kitchen reno is just about done and given the extremely limited ammount of bench space and the fact that we've moved to a induction range which gets things boiling extremely quickly, can anyone recommend a good stove top kettle brand that will work with induction?

This F&P 2 posh 2 flip. Don’t mind really, the door opens way beyond 90deg. If it pisses us off too much down the line I’ll just turn the whole thing upside down.

Weird. They are a decent brand though.

I've got a Ninja Foodie which I like for being a single unit that I can cook in, air fry, and pressure cook. Only one I've used so can't compare to other Air fryers, but really like it as a multi-use device

It’s cos it’s got a plumbed water dispenser on the front, some kind of air freshener built into the door & all that jazz. Also a new door without that shit (no handle blanks) is 3x what we paid for the entire fridge lol

We’ve got the orange Le Creuset stove top, works well & scrubbable enamel so easy to clean.

No.
I think the ones on the bottom shelfs may be 2 of these https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/risatorp-basket-white-20527633/ but we bought them in person so don't have a link in my history.
