Ninja air fryer ordered!
Also ordered some of the silicone liners.
Very exciting

Great, another air fryer evangelist is born.

The silicon liners are good as washing out the air fryer every time becomes a right pain in the arse

A mate just sent me a picture of their ninja air fryer complaining of how tough it is to clean.
I've got one of the multicook ones which is pretty easy.

How much does a not shit dishwasher cost? And what do I need to look for?
Getting a new floor and our ancient miele leaks a bit, which I'm worried will stain the floor. I like the idea of repair, but last time I looked it was £500 or so.
Cheers

I paid 1000 EUR for a Miele. It's great. And I love the cutlery draw rather than box. Converted!

Draw runners that run well, clean and dry dishes.

€1k absolutely will not fly in this house.

Yeah I never paid anything like that. But we bought a house and I splashed our. Hopefully it works in 10 years.
Maybe a bosch 4/6 series?
My mum has a beko and it's shit.
Somone on here had a Which account before and helped me!

Bought a Siemens last year. It's nice bar the texts to tell me it's finished. Also the smart controls are basically limited to that.
Definitely na cutlery tray and make sure your wine/beer glasses fit

My mum has a beko and it's shit.
In what sense? I've only had two dishwashers.
This one often doesn't clean stuff probably, but then it's ancient and it's been a while since I gave it a thorough clean out. But overall most people's dishwashers seem to work.

Draws dont go in and out smooth, heavy door and bad closure. Doesn't clean so well. Sure it's been used a few years but it's at the end of life already.
Maybe try fix yours yourself? Plus give a good clean.

You can adjust the door springs on most dishwashers.

My worry about doing another diy service, is that we're spunking a load of money on a new wood floor. So if it leaks it'll be really shit and my OH will get upset.
Personally for something that you use every day I don't think it makes sense to skimp. But I don't control the budget.

Ah, thanks. I'll look next time I'm there.

My experience of leaks is the lower corners of the rubber seal getting loaded with crud and not sealing. Scraping that usually clears it up. Where/what are your leak issues

Mid range Bosch dishwashers are usually excellent.
Some come with 5y warranties.
Recommend a cutlery drawer, and projected floor display if integrated. -

There's a £750 freestanding Miele dishwasher (B2 grade) in the outlet list... There's also an integrated one for £700. I would check, free delivery etc. too. (we have a B2 dryer, it's very good)
The projected floor display in our Siemens is pretty good, but being an integrated unit it was on the expensive side to get running. And I still don't like the edges of the cabinet door, they're pointy.

I think you're right. It's a small amount rather than a gush.
It looks like that area - so thanks for the tip. I need to have a proper look at the weekend.

Can I put a regular microwave in a cupboard or does it need any sort of ventilation?
-
• #1247
It won't die due to lack of oxygen if that's what your asking.
-
• #1248
Make sure you're not blocking all the vents on the microwave and ensure the cupboard has a way for heat buildup and steam vapour to escape when in use and cooling down afterwards.

+1 for dishwashers with floor screen/notification projection, its cool and way more useful than I thought.

I've had this for the past couple of years, mainly used for microwave, combi oven occasionally used. No issues that I've noticed (when I first installed it I did a bit of running it and checking temperatures and nothing got that hot and after a couple of years there are no marks on the cupboard to suggest it is getting hot).

Used to have a Samsung combi microwave that did well enough. Now have a fitted Miele thats also good.
