i have quite a few and like the idea of the visco set up having desk type area. they are cool though

yeah kinda gutted tbh, the desk for example always wants to tilt (obvs) and the only thing stopping it is a half screwed in screw which then rests on one of the string ladders

Naturally the screw has sheared itself off

Don't forget the screw has a plastic shroud which compresses too, adding to the joyous tilt action.

I've always like the look of String so that's very disappointing to hear.

In case you don't know, you can get twin in different colours. Black looks a bit less garage storage.

I have NEVER had this issue, both me and partner use this for WFH setup

Sounds like you were missing the rubber sleeve? My downstairs desk is solid, I just don’t think they are much better quality wise than ikea, just chipboard veneered.

I found the string (mini?) a pain to fit, hole drilling had to be absolutely spot on, but even then the vertical brackets accentuated any error so never looked straight. Got rid. I've got a couple of Teebooks, do recommend.
