I can attest to them being well worth it.

Kitchen monobloc mixer with pull out hose thing. Where to buy from? I saw something I liked returned from a Google search which was 300 on Victoria plumbing and 150 everywhere else. Is there a go-to site? Also is there go-to brand? Think we had bristan at the last place which was fine but I remember it wobbled a bit with their 'easy fit' thing in our wooden work top.

I bought mine in October from https://www.tradingdepot.co.uk/ because they had the one we had chosen in stock for less than other places. It arrived as described reasonably quickly.
Mine is a Franke tap. Not especially cheap. It wasn't quite as I was expecting from the pictures. It's the kind of thing I'd rather buy from a shop that has a load in display, and pay a premium, but I couldn't find any locally.

Franke do lots . Start around 120ish. Toolstation and screwfix stock them
Have a franke one in the utility , been good so far.....
Grohe also have some for a few £ more . Their stuff tends to be decent quality
Victorian plumbing can be horrifically expensive . In terms of where to buy, find the model you like and buy from the cheapest !

+1 for Franke stuff actually.

Wow. Ok. 4 in a row for Franke. That's fairly convincing though I did like the lusso stone one chrisbmx sent earlier. Will have a look after I finish cooking. Thanks all

I had a grohe one in last flat which was great and very attractive to look at!

Grohe ++

That Grohe does look nice, but I can never get over that style of tap being inspired by Arne Jacobsen’s KV1 for Vola. I’d have to own the OG, but I don’t want to spend a grand on a tap.

EC1 bathrooms will do them for less. Beautiful taps.

Missed this yesterday. Like it - can see the supersteel version for 200, most places it's 220-240. Will keep an eye out for deals but that could be the one.

Custom sized bathroom mirrors... anyone got any recommendations for a supplier East?
-
• #2268
Framed or just cut glass?
I bought a 2.2x1.2m polished edge mirror from mirrorfit.co.uk a couple of years ago for £180 delivered to SE6 -

Could try here. Not a recommendation, I’ve just been meaning to talk to them about reglazing my door for a long time.

You can normally find local glazers. If it's just cut I'd Google map it and pick your closest.
Unless you're talking something crazy complicated... in which case we need pics!

Ohhhh nice, cheers. Yeah just simple rectangle.

• #2272
Ha, no, but hopefully it will finally finish off a solid design.

How was it putting it up? Any pics?
-
• #2274
I only have this pic from when it was just finished. Fitting was pretty straightforward, albeit a bit nerve-racking as it's big. Dot and dab with mirror adhesive and as it sits flush with the face of the tiles it sat on the top of the tiles which stopped it slipping off the wall. I then fitted a couple of battens vertically to hold it flat while the adhesive went off. It's the second time I've fitted a mirror in tiles this way.

Looking at flooring options and we're 99% going for some sort of engineered food floor in parquet.
Does anyone have any suggestions of suppliers?
Had a few samples from these guys
https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/bayswater-herringbone-golden-oak-brushed-lacquered-engineered-wood-flooring.htmlNot crazy about the thickness of the top layer on the ones we liked and would ideally like no edge bevel.
We'd probably prefer pre-vanished/lacquered as otherwise it's just another job/variable.On thickness, what is the min you need if you wanted to be able to refinish?
Cheers!
Agreed
