  • You mean a shower head which can be removed to wash hair in bath? Yeah probably on the wall.

Don’t see the big deal with not having frosted glass. There’s a blind there if you wanted to pull it down

  • Yup agreed on the wood front - I think I’d have a sort of inset glass screen about a third of the height of the window which should stop most of the splash back.
I think we will either do something like that as our windows have to be timer framed

  • or just showerhead at other end?

  • Yeah or that 😂

  • get frosted glass in ya mad reprobates - can't believe you're all out here hanging dong/vulv in the london post codes fs

  • @EstelleGetty have you had any experience of using Tadelakt in a bathroom? The wife is keen on it but I’m thinking it could be £££

  • For that window I would've gone with sticky back smoked plastic 3/5ths of the way up... The trees are nice, the buildings not so much... I don't like the black tapware and accessories and I really can't stomach the ceiling rose... Not sure the pink tiles work with that wood either... Other than that it's bang on... 😂

Our bathroom currently has frosted glass and a blind... 🤦‍♂️

  • can't believe you're all out here hanging dong/vulv in the london post codes fs

My bathroom backs on to park

  • Not sure if that makes it better or worse tbh

Good thing we've got racist shutters on the windows (they were like that when we got here)

  • frosted glass and a blind

    that's the spirit

  • I was trying to find a nice example of shower head from ceiling. Whilst elements of the bathroom I don’t like it to my taste the finish and design I think are strong.

  • that's the spirit

    prudes!

  • Whatever next, shower curtains??

  • it's all gone a bit freikörperkultur itt

  • i'm also partially biased against baths because i'm 1.98m tall and rarely fit into any.

A smaller removable one might be the ticket. Even better if we can just use the shower head to fit it and don't need to fit a tap that way...

  • We're going with this double shower, I saw a really nice one I loved yesterday but even with a discount it's $1,400... So no!

Will probably change the hand shower head, I don't really like it... And a few of the other bits that are going in as well, I've decided I don't like the free towel ladder so am gonna get something nicer... It looks a bit poo...

  • The finish is very nice... I suspect the pink and black is ticking some subliminal Rapha boxes for one or two of you on here... 😉

  • I want this heated towel ladder but I don't think it'll arrive in time for the build... Simple and unfussy, will fit a couple of bath sheets easily...

  • Kids and blinds dont mix well at all.
Neither do blinds and shower gel / hair slurry.

I’d be perfectly happy with a non frosted window by the sink with a blind, but not a full height window directly into a shower.

I also disagree with bathtubs in bedrooms, and ‘en suite’ toilet/shower rooms without doors.

  • I can appreciate the height issue, though not fully understand due to being tiny myself.

They do 1900mm baths, though don’t even someone trying to install a bath that cumbersome…

  • Neither do blinds and shower gel / hair slurry.

This is the sort of dull comment my mum would come out with but that pink bathroom will be a nightmare to clean and look after.

You'd definitely need to include budget for a water softener + 4 day p/wk cleaner + replacing the blind and wood surround every few years.

    It does look fantastic though.

  • Also just to reiterate the Acliff's point about blinds cords and kids, it's a pretty common reason for accidental deaths for young children. So even though they're going to be with an adult, it's worth thinking through how the cord would be made safe or moved until they're older.

  • water softener

ban the bad and hated london imo

  • Either something removable then, or I wonder if you could have a deep tiled shower tray, which would make a shallow bath?

When our youngest (<1) is in the bath on their own I only fill it about a foot anyway.

It could also prevent overflowing from lazy teenagers when they get older.
