That will definitely be getting set, amazing what a difference it makes. As it's a new page here's the other side. Thanks for the kind words too, I'm just waiting on a few bits then should be ready for spring :)

The machinist forgot to add a hole for the ignition barrel so sent me a spare track yoke for free. When the proper one turns up I'll get it hard anodized.

Just when you think you've serviced everything. Found some brake fluid on the garage floor as the rear master cylinder was leaking. All ready for another 25 years now hopefully. Also another obligatory photo of the billet yoke.

That looks so fresh man! Inspiring stuff!

Thanking you, with the weather improving I might even ride the thing.

Pfft. Yea right. You might, but then you’ll have to clean it.
-
• #483
Surely that’s just an excuse to take it apart again.

That's a really nice design. I wonder if there's a keyless bluetooth fob you could wire in, instead of the ignition barrel? That would be cool. Are you going for a colour, after they're anodized or just plain?

The Motogadget mo.lock seems like the go to wireless ignition but presumably you'd lose the steering lock? Just standard hard anodized, which goes a grey/gold with 700 series aluminium. Here's a pic of said ignition and finish.

Reason. Yoke is nice and all, but the rest golden nugget are the market bolts. Beautiful. Also how are the bar ends? Keen on something that that to let palm hang on it.

Thanks. The bar ends are just the hard plastic (acetal/delrin?) Caps supplied from SES Race Products with the clip-ons.

Danke. I like simple.
Been riding the FrankenV a lot recently and I’m actually enjoying wet weather riding. Throttle cable snapped last week so threw down some pennies on Venhill/Domino.You get the yoke back?

Very nice. Have thought about a Domino qaf but don't think I have room on the bars. No sign of the correct top yoke either despite calling them daily. The comms/service are awful but can't knock the quality so I'm trying to be patient.

Balls. Still plenty time man. It ain't exactly lean weather yet anyway.
I think you'll have space. This replaced the R6 throttle tube and it was bang on same length. Feels marginally better. Saying that though, I'm nowhere near the holes, at least for the controls. -

MOT passed today with no advisories. What a difference a year makes 🔧

Forks and Brembos, swingarm. How many am I missing? :)

Nailed it. I also went down a tooth on the front and one up on the back. Jury is still out if it's an improvement. It's louder but in the powerband more.

Oh I also missed the carbon fender swap

Yeehar. I always like dropping the gearing....instant kick in the pants. It looks stunning!

Thanks chief. Those cast wheels are starting to look a bit out of place now, will have to do something about that in time.

Banging. That swingarm swap is beautiful. Did I miss any mods for it? Also show and tell on the yoke dude, don't deny us.
We should hook up and Zinc plate shite for shits and giggles. -

Or Nickel plate - I love Nickel plate and I think you can use Vinegar to do it rather than anything too obnoxious.
Just set the static sag and have at it. That is looking SUPER hot. Awesome work mate.
