Errrrr…
I’m kinda committed.
Don’t worry. 1X will be restored and the rings will be put to good use.

This might be a good time and place to see if anyone wants/needs a virtually new 46t 4 bolt red axs ring?

I just realised I’ve got two bontrager xxx cages I’d forgot about!
Bonty cages on the s-works seems wrong though.Small question over their provenance though. They both have serial numbers. That’s good. Both serial numbers are the same. That’s bad.
The fact that I paid £5 posted for the pair on the forum. That works out at £2.50 each.
16g each on the kitchen scales.I think on the balance of probabilities they are the real McCoy™️

You mean the most copied carbon cages in existence (on AliExpress)?
I had some genuine ones, and some fake ones. Similar weight.
-

Sarcasm possibly not translating in text there. But yeah they are 100% fake. I'm not even sure they are carbon. Not sure they would be as light though if plastic.
I've still never used them. They feel very flimsy but I've never held the real ones. Feels like a bottle would bounce out quite easily. I've been meaning to remove the decals and just use them.

Even the fake ones are actually pretty good and 16g is hard to get to if it weren’t carbon (even if shitty quality)
Graphics are horrid though. My white ones (which I still have) look like they were dipped in Tippex.
And they are the genuine ones! -

Not sure I can be party to this…

Is it because I’m not part of the sworks gang :-(

Yeah; can confirm fake Bontrager XXX are perfectly adequate in retaining bottles. Down ‘ere is suitably potholed and not lost a bottle yet.
MIGHTYDUTY £14.99 on ShAmazon. Next day to your door. Black, no graphics.
So good in fact, that I bought… TWO! -

eBay has delivered - why do people not clean shit before putting it online? I’d have paid an extra £5..!
Now I wonder if those graphics will come off with a spot of acetone?
Need to find a 12 speed chain to try also…

No power meter! Good man.

This is like the Dura Ace levers all over again....
Forgot I put a stupid offer in on this last night. Then bought the aero ring above and have now won this too.
No power meter! Good man.
LOL.

If it weren't for the power meter i may have even gone for an OVAL. 😲
Genuinely looking forward to trying out a power meter!

Have you not used one yet? I've found that it adds a new dimension, keeps things interesting, and obviously great for training!
My Tarmac is in need of a spruce up, need to chop the chimney, and add a SL6 specific ceramicspeed headset cover, before I take some new pics... will also be power meter free for a very short time.

Well if you're looking to offload the Sram 50...
-
• #373
I just want to check the Quarq works and it also clears the Hope BB.
*Note - Some Power Meter cranks do not offer the clearance required over the BB cup, please ensure there is clearance before fitment.
Hmmm...
But otherwise yes it'll be for sellz.

Nope, never used one.
I'm a little strange in the fact I always ride solo and just tend to ride the same loops on my road bike so I usually just compare with previous rides what my average is, and do a little 'oh it was windy today' kind of allowance in my head.
My key: <15mph - on my mountain bike 15-17mph - bloody hell it was windy today 17-18 - Corrr, that was hilly 18-20 - 'normal' 20 + - Calm down lad.
Will be interesting to see how my effort matches perceptions!
Ps: what's training? 🤔

haha this is also exactly how I ride on my road bike. Always solo and almost always the exact same loops. 0.5mph above usual average speed - good lad. 0.5mph below - useless fat twat, should sell my bike
At this rate I may not have one left for my own Tarmac…
Though I have 6 Arundel Mandibles, so hard choices…
