  • I've had no side effects from 2nd Pfizer, arm is barley sore.

  • In b4 Schick

  • Got my catalan vaccine registered in nhs app, my gp were no help but someone else was.

It seems it quite possible and the news says gps should do it soon, but gps going to be gps.

  • Don’t tell the antivax crowd, seems like an exploitable loophole for someone willing to lie.

  • I had to provide some proper paperwork. Also I had someone vouch for me. So I can't see it being abused

  • Had my second shot of AZ on Wednesday, arm's still a bit sore but no other side effects to speak of yet... Feels good...

  • Had my second shot of Pfizer today, I'm absolutely knackered but otherwise fine.
Our Lady and St Philip Neri school in Sydenham, where I got mine, are doing walk ins and there was no queue at all earlier today.

  • Got my second go of Moderna this morning. Didn't have a lot of issues with the last one other than a bit of an achey arm - so fingers crossed for similar this time round.

  • It's now almost 6 weeks after my second Astra dose and my shoulder is still fucked. After the first dose the pain lasted about a week and it felt like the muscle was sore, now it's like something in the joint, moving the arm into a position it hasn't been in is painful, so mostly doing stuff overhead or putting on a t-shirt. I can do chin ups but not take anything from a shelf above my head.

  • Sounds more like a rotator cuff problem than a vaccine one!

  • Maybe look up symptoms for frozen shoulder and hope it isn't. Er, are you diabetic? Frozen shoulders seem to be very common in diabetics.

  • Not diabetic and it started the day after the second dose, never had anything like that before.

  • Frozen shoulder or shoulder impingement issue sound smroe likely. Get some exercises for either and try them. I've deal with shoulder impingement.

  • Oof. Interesting to see rotator cuff injury is on that list. Although super rare.

Edit: Maybe something to do with vaccine injection causing pain and the patient using their shoulder in a weird range of motion, triggering the rotator cuff/frozen shoulder problem.

My 4 year battle with shoulder pain started with a minor knock and grew worse from there. (although only took 4 years to fix because I ignored it)

  • Thanks, I will try something. If I have to go for a booster shot can I ask the person doing it to aim lower?

  • Maybe ask other arm, then can do self experiment.

I remebr my musculoskeletal doctor talking with his doctor buddies about an increased in shoulder injuries in their clinics during covid.

  • Is that because we move less and the muscles are weaker?

  • That's certainly what my physio thinks. Lots of problems linked to poor posture and home working etc.

  • I had a painful upper arm for about 11 weeks after first AZ injection - a massage hugely helped (about 8 or 9 weeks in) and it finally faded a few days before second jab. Second one not nearly as bad, I still feel it if lifting hand above head, but not painful taking off tshirt etc which is what it was. I always felt it was in the muscle, not joint though. Range of movement not a problem, not painful to touch, specifically use of the muscle in certain positions / particular movements was painful.

  • All good information, I will just keep moving it and hope it fades away eventually.

  • See if you can get a decent massage, it really helped for me. I don't understand why, but it did.

  • My wife is a massage therapist.

  • Show off... 🙃

My OH had her second Pfizer jab yesterday, it has knocked her for six, poor thing...

  • 2nd shot of Pfizer at noon, zero side effects so far, not even a sore arm. Hopefully stays this way.

Edit: well a good 20 hours later my arm is sore and I feel a bit weak, but nothing too serious.
Edit 2: approx. 26 hours after the shot I got tired and a bit feverish that lasted throughout the day, next day I was completely fine.
