I had about 5-6 nights of mad dreams.

I had my second dose of AstraZeneca/Oxford on Tuesday morning. Slight fever that night; intense dreams induced by the first substituted by a headache starting in the evening—1/5 on the hangover scale, much like a hangover it was ameliorated with paracetamol and a sugary cup of tea. The morning after, it started feeling like I’d properly bashed my arm a couple of days ago but without any cool technicolour bruising. The fever didn’t last until the next morning, and the sore arm is gradually feeling better a couple of days later. B+ would vaccinate again, roll on the autumn boosters.
My son [edit: 18] has had his first Pfizer, he had a headache the next day but no other ill-effects.

Got this slightly confusing email today
This e-mail is regarding your Covid-19 Vaccination on 3rd July 2021 at Woolwich Late Night Pharmacy. Your appointment has been rescheduled to a walk-in clinic. We are running AstraZeneca walk-in clinic everyday (except bank holiday) between 8am-12pm from 1st July 2021 onwards.
I think they are saying I can come in any time after the 1st? Wish they just kept my appointment instead of fucking around so close to the end.

I have my second AZ yesterday morning. Nothing of any merit to report at all. Not even a slightly sore arm. Result!

Reads like that to me.

Big ones 14-16 mostly for drawing up drugs etc as low resistance. Needles up to 14g are also used as part of cannula to insert IV access - bigger ones over 18G only really used in cases where you need to give large volumes of liquid quickly eg during anaesthetics or if you’re seriously unwell/in shock.

We also use those large ones on the end of cyanoacrylate bottles for delicate work like strain gauges.

28 hours since AZ#2 jab. Nothing of note at all. Couldn't even tell you which arm it was in.
So, to add to the anecdata:-
Mid 40's bloke in good health (if a bit overweight). Never knowingly had Covid before the jabs.
AZ#1: Mild hangover symptoms and felt a bit lethargic 8 hours after the jab. No fever/sweats/chills/etc.
AZ#2: (8 weeks later). Nothing (within the first 28 hours anyway). -

Moved my 2nd vaccine date forward by 3 weeks all really straight forward on the site, I thought it was only over 40's who could move it but I guess they've opened it up to at least over 35's?

I think everyone can now have an 8 week gap, subject to appointments. There seem to be more AZ appointments around at the moment, presumably because there aren't millions of new people suddenly eligible to book those.

Going to throw this in the bag, had my second jab of Pfizer just after 5 weeks of the first week.
I’m not too sure if this location/area dependant but the queue wasn’t too bad and was in and out within less than 30mins.
Literally was jab and go, and this time I got a double sticker and a badge!
No side affects or pain, just another sore arm but aside from that feeling normal and silly as per usual.

Think I'm gonna head down to the Emirates later, seems like provided you're over 21+ days and are capable of queuing for a bit they'll give out a 2nd dose (Pfizer)

Any anecdotes about second Pfizer if the first one made you feel shit? Can I expect to feel even shitter after round 2?

Mid 40's bloke in good health (not overweight). Had COVID in Oct and long COV for c.5 mths.
AZ#1: Severe hangover symptoms the day after the jab (which was 11am). No fever/sweats/chills/etc.
AZ#2: (9 weeks later). Headache all day yesterday, feeling a bit extra tired today, nothing dramatic. -

I had both doses of sinopharm two months ago, but as the vaccine record is tied to my passport number and I just got a new passport, apparently now I am unvaccinated.... urrrrrrrgh.

Gf got her first shot of Pfizer, no major side effects only a sore arm. I will get mine on Friday, either Pfizer or Moderna. The system is really nice here in the NL. I heard zero complaints so far, every colleague and friend got theirs in a very orderly fashion, they got jabbed at the exact time of their appointment.

Pfizer this morning. Feels like someone punched me in the arm.

John Scott vaccine clinic in n4 doing no appointment walk-ins for 2nd jabs if you got your first one +4 weeks ago. Just got mine there now

Moderna jab #1 earlier today. Sore arm and feeling a tad sluggish and a bit warm. Nothing major but interesting to see how the night goes. Was gonna see a movie (A Quiet Place Part II) now before bed but may rethink. I don't wish my dreams to be too vivid..

Just had Pfizer #2.
Woman next to me in the post jab waiting room has just collapsed. Scenes.

• #848
wow, what are you wearing? (etc)
-
• #849
She's now lying in the floor in a hastily fenced off cubicle, with medical people attending to her.
Seems OK, but fucking hell...
Reason I chose to have my jab at Guys rather some random gym or pharmacy

Hope she's OK, and also hope it was due to the anxiety of the situation and not the jab itself (still not a great thing for her, obviously). When I was queuing for Pfizer #1 there were a lot of people who looked like they were one missing hand rail away from tumbling themselves, and that was before the jab. It seems a lot of people are getting very worked up about it (understandably in some cases).
Might be this - When I had my first (on a monday), the nurse asked about my 2nd appointment, which I commented was about 6mi away. She told me to wait until Thursday when I should cancel the 2nd and re-book, which turned out to be a pharmacy 0.5mi away.
