Superb.

This may not be universally popular, but I've always like these wheels. Got them for a very decent price so shelved my carbon wheel plans.

Thinking of these for that bike. Should match the black silver theme

How do the 853 and 653 ones ride? Is one 'better' than the other? Do you have a preference?
-
• #35
They are totally different. But I think that has more to do with construction and tube size than the tube itself.
The 653 is a traditional lugged skinny tubed frame/fork and it feels like it. A little flexy, really comfy and so much fun to ride. Its probably the best handling bike I own, it descends like an animal. It just holds onto corners.
The 853 is a modern steel frame, with fatter tubes/tapered headtube and a carbon fork. It feels like a CAAD12 with the road buzz taken out. Geometry is closer to the vintage frames though. Its a great ride.

I think your 653 is my favourite from your collection, closely followed up your cross :-)

Looks great either way! Which is more useful? I suspect the basket 👍🏻

Nice! Looks great with these wheels

Basket comes with the rack, so going to fit it for now and start work on a pair of French style bags

Lookin very good! Have you considered these:
-
• #45
Every single person whos seen the bike has said that....I may have to bow to public opinion
-
• #46
Ha! Alternatively, you could put a ‘black levers matter’ sticker on them to make a statement.
-
• #47
I was going to polish the lever arms silver, but just couldn't be bothered
-
• #48
So, so good.

very good, but I cant help but think at least one mudflap is needed, the foot coverage doesnt look great.
Three is the gold standard imo

I've got some nice leather ready to go. Going to do something a little bit different and incorporate some colour.
Really didn't want to take the blue protective film off the guards ..
