Well, it was a lovely looking bike. (I jest)
I might have a spare, lightly used gold chain depending on how many links you need.

Ratty lever, BNIB brake, just need to swap the pads and you should be fine using it on the front. Sadly BB is 73x107.

P sure I've got a goldfinger or dia-compe or similar mid-2000s fixie skidder brake lever in the spares drawer that I could bang in the post for nowt if you like. My fixie days are over (rip my knees).

final parts ordered, some lovely forum donated parts from @spinnnout and @atk; an afternoon delving in to my parts bin for stuff like crank bolts, grips, brake cables, ferules and housing.
it should be done soonish?
as long as there is no hiccups with parts fitting
i really like it, has some fakenger vibes to it which is good if you believe in everette rogers innovation diffusion model; consider mash 2007 is 20 years old very shortly (i assume this is driving @Glws too).

Oh no. Wrong size? The Campagnolo BSA threaded BB I installed went in ok.
-
• #3996
wrong axel legnth, the threads were silky smooth and it installed like a dream.
went to put the crank on and realised the chainring/ chainring arm was almost touching the chainstay and i hadn't even done the bolt up!
i got a 107 bb from talk on the web - too short, absalutely 0 idea what legnth to replace it with as all the links for 2014 langster cranks just say "103 or 107"

Don’t want to open a can of worms, but is it ISO or JIS?
-
• #3998
it's a un300 bb that's 68x107, they're 2013/ 2014 specialized langster oem cranks (which i do not believe to be rebranded suguino era) so a JIS BB - all information about the cranks lead me to believe it should be JIS as they're not euro cranks or particularly old
there is 0 markings on the cranks other than their legnth and this weird raised compass? which is impossible to make out
i left the old bb in the frame before giving it to a friend - so i do not know what was in there before and specialized just links 68mm sealed catridge square taper - no legnth indicated

we're doing sluethng girls
i've found a service video
as you can see the bb says 103 and the crank has an identicle marking....taper might be the issue?????

the cabal is saying the wider chainstay spacing and organic lines of steel vs the hydroforming of aluminium might mean i need a wider bb??
can anyone confirm ??
That colour is so good by the way.
