update: i've just ridden this exactly 345meters it has changed my life, what a fool i was to think dynamos were solely for multiday ultra adventurers and the people of the earth simply use lezyne
to see that crisp beam light the road before me, the icy black tarmac illuminated like i was at the Shanghai grand prix, the crisp edges of an artfully engineered beam. magical.
even at my pootle pace i managed to achieve maximum wattage, enough for me and a pal i would say. now one might argue, all light is the same, but there is a reason we no longer ride holding a gas lamp. compared to what i now view as prehistoric tech, the lezyne 650xl, the light of this super nova was incomparable.
the beam from the 650 watts of the the lezyne 650xl was sloppy, directionless, messy, much like my work on the first day back after xmas, in comparison, and it will sound like a cliche, the german light profile was so efficient it left me speechless, at least i attribute it to the light, it could have been the cold.
none the less
i will now be changing my voter registration in the dynamo debate to PRO DYNAMO.

Ah ha... As a lifelong teetotaler... I had total zero chance of guessing that..

I feel the same way, which is why all of my ridable bikes have disc brakes as well.

• #142
And at least one rack?
-
• #143
please, do not get it twisted, this thread is not a safe space for either disc brakes or fenders, leave them at the door please, also rapha is banned here
things this thread is a safe space for
rim brakes
hiking trousers
cycling under 25kmh
disliking the bike you ride the moment you finish it
reactionary opinions which could change day to day
good looking bits of cnc
overly verbose descriptions of mundane things
having your saddle pointed slightly upwards
bike bags which ARE NOT tail bags -
• #144
Hat rack. Tie rack? Burt Bacharack?
-
• #145
Ok ok ok... My apologies... I'm trying to live my imaginary projects through other people's projects threads.... I realise this is not polite..
Though I must say, some of my favourite trousers are hiking trousers.. and I love the CNC-ing on the azonic DH stem from the mid 90s..

hiking trousers
Where do I get these? Can they be double thickness in the gussett for saddle interactions?

the best hiking trousers are decathalon or arcteryx, there is no in-between or further level, northface are cut like bin bags. people who wear andwander or snow peak hiking trousers don't go outside (source, i have andwander hiking trousers and i DO NOTY go outside)
@whatfriends you're forgiven for your love of hiking trousers
@cozey glad to get the fake fans exposed
