Yep they’re made from oak countertop - the original piece I tried out was from a neighbour and then bought a big piece for the latest batch. The supplier I bought from recommended the one I got as being best for chopping boards due to hard wearing etc.
Now trying to use up every last bit and not have any waste! So making the phone holders with the remaining bits

I’m keeping random bits for an end grain butchers block style board. Will see how that comes out when I get to it. -

Picked my board up from @Beams on Saturday and we’re very pleased with it. We’ve just had a new kitchen installed and this seemed the right time to retire my mum’s old chopping board which was a wedding present back in 1955.
The only issue is that it looks too nice to get it scratched.....Anyway, get yourself one. They’re lovely. Cheers Ben!
