Build a bike around a saddle?

I hated those things back in 2k8 and I hate them now.

I have decided that this bike (and my back) need some risers.

I have zero knowledge of risers.

Can anyone advise or recommend or (better still) give me a set?

Only just saw this thread and loved reading it, nice one @mashton

So tempted to buy this for the black front spokk and the Sugino Messenger crank set.

For £150 I don't see a downside. What am I missing?
