Is there a decent shop in South East that could be recommended to face the head tube? The first (closest) two places I phoned up didn't even seem to know what I was on about

rat race surely? or parts and labour?

I ended up just sanding a little blob of paint off with some wet+dry paper which seems to have solved

better (well, probably worse but more appropriate, so better)

This is going swimmingly

Built a wheel, wondered why the freehub was binding, expected the little freehub washer to be missing (pro 2 hub)

Didn't expect a whole bearing to be awol

in other 'news' I filed/rounded off the edges of the little machined bits of the spider that a chainring would ordinarily sit over, to try and make it look a bit like a poundland middleburn

So I made a bit of a c**k up and currently have nowhere to do bike stuff...

It'll probably go into storage for a while until or if that changes.

Come to my house and work on as many bikes as you want!

(I live in Birmingham so that's a big ride for a tinker)

some of you may remember I acquired this frameset from this very forum around this time last year. It was going to be a very posh commuter, an antidote to dawesgalaxyitis.

Well, lots has changed, had a fucking massive mental breakdown, I'm no longer in London for the time being, but I did manage to bring various bikey things with me.

(yes i know it needs a couple of bits tidying up)
