This is just phenomenal. Deffo best-of-show as far as I’m concerned, and I’ve never seen anything like it.

Very kind.
I think the process is there, maybe a little more refinement needed to compete with some of the other madness on show

Stunning bike, I've entered the raffle to show appreciation and support.

Just read back, absolutely fantastic, I don't think I've ever seen a copper-plated bike before. Clever and looks rad.

fantastic finish, even if the process might be a bit of a surprise.
is the frame clearcoated to avoid further "color changes". -

Sooo one of the things I liked about it is that it might continue to change and evolve. But in places (ie my favourite places) it's had some jade oil and renaissance wax applied, so it should be pretty stable

Thankyou. There are a handful in existence that I know of - I think Ted James did a bmx bike, and I remember seeing a track bike somewhere.
A nice man from Chater Lea showed me a few from the 1920s/1930s today while at the show too. So it's not unheard of as a finish, but hopefully doing it in this way is something a bit unusual

I remember a copper Fondriest from a couple of years ago. But this is something else, piece of art! I really like the combination of the green and copper colors and the gradient between the two
-
• #363
Yeah I'm most happy with some of the gradients

So good. Love how the rear triangle is already patinating after it’s had grubby mitts all over it.
