I plan to do both, for sure I’ll be able to get some photos done frame only. The step by step images will depend whether I’ll build it up myself or have someone do it for me due to a busy schedule. I prefer to do it myself really.

Frame will take somewhat longer than expected. So long story short, it came in at the importer, they unpacked and saw it wasn't in line with the approved design. So the frame will go back and get repainted. Due to the headset being sold out in bourbon, I changed the design somewhat. Still a fade but slightly different to make it work with a slate headset. Mistakes happen and they've offered a great service so honestly can't complain.

I've got my groupset and wheels set aside already.

Interested to hear what was wrong with the product vs the approved design?

Thats a dissapointment but thats when a builders customer care really comes into its own.

There was hardly any contrast between the two greens (so no fade effect anymore) and came with a glossy finish instead of a matte. Someone must have missed a memo somewhere in the paintshop.

Exactly that, your experience will be measured by how it's handled. But sure, it's a bummer when you first hear about it but in reality, it's not the end of the world.

Plus the weather is still decent enough here for the Baum to go out so no worries really.

Sure, but that's their problem and not mine. :)

Think when it comes to it at the end of the day, losing profit for reputation will prevail. They won't tarnish their quality.

Might not be a popular thought, but I'm liking the aesthetic of it. It's chunky but purposeful; without looking disjointed in design.

Couldn't resist, just ordered some brass cable adjusters together with some ti bolts for the bottle cages.

Frame has been picked up last week, now let's wait for an update from their side.

Woohoo. Nice adjusters. I did the same thing. Was the right thing to do. So much nicer than plastic Jagwire's.

Yeah I have them on the Baum in stainless and had them on the Jaegher before, I don’t see why anyone would settle for plastic really.

By the time I get home from work it's pitch-black already. I'll try to get some daylight shots done during the weekend.

Headset was supposed to be in bourbon but I'm afraid it was sold out already. If anyone knows / has an CK I7 in bourbon, please let me know. I also have a black Thomson seat post clamp available so I'll give that one a go and see which one I like better.
