If you wear baggie shorts and boxers you can accidentally sit on a testicle.

+1 for swrve, I've had mine since 2015, commute in them daily, short rides, often wear them around the lab, at home and running.
They're still going super strong, but will be replacing them soon as I need a new size. -

Tried heaps over the years and I'd say for cheap & cheerful UniQlo shorts are hard to beat, but if you can find any secondhand\afford new then Musto sailing shorts are the way to go. Loads of pockets & built to last. The evo line have a reinforced arse panel Captain Scarlet would approve of:- it's indestructible!

That’s too bad, in the US Patagonia have a mobile repair van that does events and a few stores have in house repair and then there are are big repair centers in Utah (I think?) and NYC.
Arcteryx pissed me off because (in the US at least) they have warranties brought to a store, then mailed to Canada to be check out, then mailed to the US third party to be repaired, then mailed back to Canada, then mailed to you. Total waste of resources.

Patagonia stand up
Went looking for these, but they were out of stock. Ordered their "four canyons" cotton twill shorts instead, which have now arrived.
Very good indead. Immediately assumed "favourite shorts" status.
Normally I think H&M products are total pish but I seem have been getting a good amount of mileage out of their chinos cut off into shorts for the last couple of years. Think they have enough stretch that they can give a little instead of wearing too quickly and they are reasonably priced so it's not the end of the wporld when they do inevitably wear out.
Think I've gotten one or two pairs of chino shorts in the sale post summer but normally just buy the basic, full length chinos and cut them.
