  • Probably going to sell the frameset/wheels soon...

  • How's the transition going?

  • Currently sitting in the shed with a flat tyre. used it once to commute to work and hasnt been ridden in 3/4 months maybe?

But it does have new cranks / bb / bars to install once I get round to it. Maybe spring time.

  • Nice where do you ride locally. Are some of those riding pics Clent way?

  • Good eye!

I live in Harborne so take no time to get to Clent Hill! And since I've moved this way I head out there a lot. Used to ride more south Birmingham ways like down to redditch/Alcester /Stratford but tend to stick over here now as riding for 45 mins through traffic just to get to some lanes isn't cool.

  • I'm Stourbridge so right by there as well. I have load of routes over Kinver way to the Wyre and I have a few Bromsgrove, Chaddsley way as well. If you ever want to go for a spin give me a shout.

  • I've rode over to the Wyre twice in my life, those hills out of Bewdley were a killer...

Would be keen to meet up for a ride over that way again soon!

  • Just give me a shout whenever you fancy it!

Yeah from the river up to the Wyre is quite a hill no matter which way you go. I know all the trails over there as well.

  • Just picked up a 20" GT Tequesta frame, 20" Reynolds tubing in good nick.

As I have grown to hate my Genesis CDF, the GT is going to be my my new commute bike.

    Build plans are:

    Surly fork
    Pizza rack
    tan walls
    1x9 XT/XTR
XT or Avid ultimate 7 brakes
    On one bars
    Rival 1x cranks etc.

    Pics soon.

  • Sounds dope! Stridsland chainring surely...

  • I do have some 94bcd Deore xt cranks sitting there next to some ano headsets....Hmmm.

  • He is doing 110bcd soon

  • Nice. I just got a 20 inch tempest which will be the Alu brother to your bike ha. Build plan sounds good. Which bars you getting. Get some BLB big smokes and it will be a great all rounder. You selling the CDF?

  • We will need to go shred Clent and Wrye when theyre done in the summer!

Ive got those BLB bars on my specialized rockhopper and theyre great. I think im going to use my on one mary's on this if I can get the stack high enough.

Also, undecided on the CDF. probably th.

  • Nice. Yeah for sure although I'm not sure if I'm keeping the GT yet.

I'm going to get a set of those for the Mrs bike. I have a set of Mary's as well but they are a bit too narrow for my preference.

Let me know when you decide. I don't love the geometry but I may be ok for some summer fun.

  • Yeah I don't know if I'm gonna keep this or not.

My stumpjumper is wicked but I just wish I was a bit larger!

  • Yes!

  • another month, another hybrid?

  • I think I got that exact frame in the attic as well. Same size even

  • It's got a stuck half chopped out seatpost that will need sorting before its ridable!

  • I've got a 9 speed xtr group, v brake blue sids and maviv crossride rims for it

  • Scored some rare ano hubs on ritchey rims which will go on the Marin maybe.

  • They will need a service, new bearings and spokes tensioning but otherwise they're pretty neat.

  • That's spicy stuff there, will look ace with that frame!

  • @t0-ster I heard somewhere that you may be releasing chainrings in 110bcd?
