So it's hardly end of days even for people with issues that don't bother chasing up refunds.
Anyway, shop smart kiddies, it's beer o'clock!

I mean, it’s piss me off but for weekend warriors with more money than sense...

So he announced he thinking of putting his content on his own webpages because he didn’t want YouTube to remove it again.
I shouldn’t have read the comment as it is full of men praising him for fighting against the industry, political correctness going mad, people should “take a joke” etc.
Like, that guys routinely make rape jokes a lots and everyone is ok with it.

I had never heard of this guy until now. Speaks for itself.
Having worked in an industry that will probably spend the entire value of the pro peloton on R+d to make a plane part then laughing at bike design with much lower tolerances doesn't seem particularly enlightening or edifying. If you buy something and it's shit take it back.
Will be giving a hard pass...

Not to defend him but I've watched a few of his videos and it's not like he's being nitpicky, he's showing things like BB shells being badly built which cause real problems like cranks not being able to spin properly, not just moaning about something being 100 microns out of true.

Hadn't heard of him before, it's raining today so had a watch. He might know some stuff but what a conceited, dull blowhard.
(Plus he reckons Boardman didn't win Olympic gold, it was the bike that did it. Deluded)

I guess I'm not in the market for spunking £5k on a Cervelo that was glued together for a couple of quid in Taiwan that I would care so much, but in my mind most bike sales are in the class of near disposable consumer products that will be lucky to ever see the spanner of a professional mechanic so I just don't see the industries as comparable.
But if folk enjoy watching someone ranting about shite BB for an hour then cool I guess...

I wouldn't conflate having a go at the industry with the rest though. Not that he's the best placed for it, mind.

If it was 100μm, there really is a problem. BB30 standard tolerance range is 25μm, it's basically a P7 fit rounded to the nearest 5μm

Don't watch it. I made the mistake.

I have not watched it, it looked too depressing for anyone who once liked Hambini - is it as bad as I fear?
-
• #217
If it got Michelle name on it, I can’t imaging it be gentle.
-
• #218
It's not sweary but it's pretty much just a personal attack against her for anything Hambini can find that he can use against her.
Attempted character assassination. -
• #219
It's pretty pathetic mud slinging match, on his part.
Tbh the tie and not swearing does nothing to help him, if he thought it would. -
• #220
It's just a really embarrassingly feeble video where he's trying to show a cap in hand 'poor me' thing whilst failing to understand the difference between him and his gammon fans laughing at the size of her vagina and her talking about the affects of saddles on her own private parts. Such a tool
The thing as well is if he approached his normal videos with this more subtle, palatable and informative tone then the companies he's attacking would have a lot tougher time shaking him off. But he's provided his most 'professional' look with one of his weakest arguments and attempts at something ever, so just hasn't worked for him at all (and can't see this tone making his gammon mates endear him even more)

Who's worse mamnick or hambini?
Bet he comes back now with the google alerts he must've set.
Sad lives

Is there some kind of award for the greatest depth of hole in which a man has been discovered still digging?
if you thought it couldn't get any worse, he's gone to the magma core of planet earth with the latest video

He tried to play the racism card when wondering why cycling weekly might have blocked him from commenting.
Is a lot of what he says not defamation? I'd quite like to see him sued tbh
Not really.
I was working in a Trek dealer when they started putting press fit bbs in mountain bikes. The life span was terrible. They all came loose and needed warranting.
Thing was, people still bought them. They either didn’t know or didn’t care about the bb problems. I presume it was the latter as a lot of our customers were mates and would buy the same bike or next spec level up as their mate had bought from us.
Trek were pretty good at warranting stuff. They sent out oversized bearing with loctite fitting compound instead of replacing the frame (at least as a first resort) so it was a case of filling in an online form then fitting new bearings for us, Trek may even have given us some sort of reimbursement for workshop time, and the customers would tend to get us to do a service or fit new tyres etc while the bike was in getting the bb seen to so it was a win all round.
