Anyone interested in a Filco Majestouch Ninja Mechanical Keyboard UK ISO Black Cherry MX Brown Switches?
Lovely keyboard, I just find that I'm just using the MX Keys mechanical instead.

Nooo! How much? I defo don't need a second Ninja or third Costar-made keyboard, but am curious!

I have one of these, but the firmware is balls and having to turn it off and back on again mid-sentence is annoying.
I bought a different keyboard but I don't like the very soft keys. Problem is I don't have the mental horsepower to work out what key switches are in the Akko one, anyone help me out with that?
If I can find out what they are I'll look for a keyboard with firmware that works which has the nice key feel.

£80? Excellent condition, boxed with accessories. It’s the full size version, letters printed on the bottom edge.

Ooo what are they? And do they come with a proper UK layout options?
-
• #783
Yeah! Pretty sure? I think. Oh god.

You're a mac user, so you don't get UK layouts they force you to use US. where are they from?
-
• #785
Ahhhh no, not proper modifier keys for Mac but the return is correct. AliExpress of all places!

Do you/have you tried to use Karabiner(?) Elements? I use that for easily switching between profiles for my different mech keyboards; some US layout, some UK/ISO, some with native Mac support, some without... I have the added complication of I use the ABC Extended layout (US based) so some keys aren't where I want them to be when I change keyboards. Karabiner has added some consistency to the madness!

I think I’ve used it? I changed a couple of keys but weird things, like a volume up instead of right alt, no real idea what I’m doing.

Decided to get a low profile keyboard for home. Saw a wealth of good reviews for the Logitech G915. Popped up cheap on Amazon. It's shit.
Returned today and ordered another Keychron K5 Pro

keys felt cheap and spongy when typing. they were supposedly tactile but they just felt mushy
other bits were my fault - the glowy logitech logo on the top left looked a bit rubbish, but I guess that's part of the gamer aesthetic
the function keys down the left side just threw me off as I tend to use the actual left hand edge of the keyboard as a bit of a subconscious reference point when typing, so having an extra row of keys on the left threw things off and I'd find myself hitting ctrl when I thought I was hitting alt for example.
I'm sure I'd have gotten used to that if it was the only thing. just decided if I was going Logitech then I'd try an MX Mechanical instead, or get another Keychron -

I have been googling this for 20 mins and given up. Accidentally got my keychron K2 cycling through a mexican wave of backlight lights. Anyone know how to turn it off? Holding fn + 1 turned it on I think but isn't turning it off. Cheers
Edit figured it out (fn + top right button)

Yeah, the older version before some major macOS change was better. It was more modifiable, and you could create your own JSON files to do more interesting things. The Elements version is still good enough though.

Anyone replaced a soldered switch before? I need to take the case apart, but I'm going to guess mine aren't hot-swapable, and my ctrl and alt keys are playing up lately.
Thanks for the reminders. I'm using a brown right now (at home), gonna switch back out to my blue ; )
