Wow that would be very kind and much appreciated :)
Hopefully lockdown will be over before the summers out... -

Spotted a nice taste all black Rourke on ebay that would also make a great frame for a continental inspired build. 853 proteam tubeset and columbus minimal fork, 56cm

What exactly is the rationale behind painted breaking surfaces?
Looks nice when you wheel it out of the shop?
TBF my Criterium has anno'd rims, and as I only ever ride it when it's bone dry they've stayed fine. I've also not ridden it very much.

Okok lemme rephrase this:
What exactly is the rationale behind painted breaking surfaces [except that it looks nice when you wheel it out of the shop]?
i was just wondering as i have a nice pair of arayas on shimano DX hubs at home which have max been ridden 100miles within 30 years and they already look like shit
Very nice klein! - one of the very few bikes that justifies white saddle and bar tape
(Whats that double TT for though;))

Honestly, I don't know, maybe a budget issue, cheaper to paint n leave, rather than machine the brake track afterwards?

Frame looks great, can imagine having a project on the go during lockdown being quite useful. Is the fork steerer threaded or A-head?

It's a Sim works dirty rhonda

Thanks - ahead 1 1/8th which is great as open the frame to have carbon forks in the future
I've got a couple of other projects in the queue too..
Brodie mtb, ongoing Serotta tweaks, drop bar mtb build.. -

ahead 1 1/8th
Very nice

130mm would be too long for me too i'm afraid.
What i am looking for though would be a pair of Pink CK campag hubs - built as wheels would be cool - does anyone have any knocking around they'd like to sell ??

Care to elaborate? Did you mean what?

Bit of progress. Broke 2 pins on the chain tool so used a 12 speed quick link. Might get some carbon forks for a lighter set up at some point

Just playing around with options at the moment, good to know it fits along with low riders on the forks if i want to commute/ camp over one night
