You mean you get a line in the painting along the edge of the support bar? I solved that by putting thick cartboard (that is wider than the support bar and that is strong enough so it doesn't folds when painting on the canvas) between support and back of the canvas. The pressure you put on the canvas is spread out over a larger surface so you won't get the line marks.

Fuck it, I have been doing this on and off for ages. Put it down on the side a few weeks ago then put something on top that had a slightly sticky edge and now....
I guess I can improve some of my mistakes next time around but still gutted (my own fault I know).
