Another effort, still learning how to work with water colours (and drawing/painting in general) but really enjoying it.

Elizabeth short aka the black dahlia
Tragically murdered and unsolved crime.
This mug shot of short was taken when she was aprehnded for underage drinking in 1943.Bit annoyed at the pealling of the ink in places and the but generally happy with it.
Abstract shapes

A friend of mine helped me with my car when I was super desperate for help.
I offered him a painting and he seemed pretty made up.

Yeah, Iβve only played it a few times but itβs gone down well!
I used a template but itβs one I cobbled together myself and is set up specifically for those cards. Itβs all done in indesign (apart from the art obvs).
Tips/tricks - probably just to set all the text up as globally editable styles, so if you decide to change the font of the name, for instance, you donβt then have to change a squillion separate cards!
Also, something about the size of a playing card, i found it hard to guage legible text size and stuff like that. Print out 100% draft tests - you might find that the point size you had for the body text, that felt bang on, is actually really big in the flesh -

Thanks. I don't have InDesign but will look into alternative. Global font is a good shout.
Yess.! Love the bottom one the colours are subtle but works really well. Great stuff π
