  • Yess.! Love the bottom one the colours are subtle but works really well. Great stuff πŸ‘

  • Cats acrilic print was pastel

  • Another effort, still learning how to work with water colours (and drawing/painting in general) but really enjoying it.

  • Lovely stuff.

  • Elizabeth short aka the black dahlia
    Tragically murdered and unsolved crime.
This mug shot of short was taken when she was aprehnded for underage drinking in 1943.

Bit annoyed at the pealling of the ink in places and the but generally happy with it.

    Abstract shapes

    Tokyo street with rising sun.

  • A friend of mine helped me with my car when I was super desperate for help.

I offered him a painting and he seemed pretty made up.

  • That first peice is stunning

  • he seemed pretty made up.

    I can see why!

  • The Capsule building in Tokyo sadly being demolished and taken down due to poor condition.
The text on the side is translated to metabolism the name of the architects group / school/ style

  • That's excellent

  • Art adjacent. Made this for when I'm next shopping in M&S.

  • Thanks πŸ™

  • Nice work again Rich. That building looks like a decent speaker stack!

  • πŸ˜‚would be a nice sound system ! πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ Funnyly enough I want to do a little series on hifi/sound systems and that soon πŸ™Œ

  • Nice, some 1210s?

  • Yep 😁😁😁

  • Looking forward to that!

  • Thought I'd try something a bit different today
No plans, no sketch. Just paint, enjoy it and see what happens

I have to say I really enjoyed the process

  • @AlexD dredge here. How's the card game? People like it?

I foolishly agreed to make a top trumps set. Presumably you had some kind of template for your cards? And tips or tricks?

  • Yeah, I’ve only played it a few times but it’s gone down well!

I used a template but it’s one I cobbled together myself and is set up specifically for those cards. It’s all done in indesign (apart from the art obvs).

Tips/tricks - probably just to set all the text up as globally editable styles, so if you decide to change the font of the name, for instance, you don’t then have to change a squillion separate cards!
Also, something about the size of a playing card, i found it hard to guage legible text size and stuff like that. Print out 100% draft tests - you might find that the point size you had for the body text, that felt bang on, is actually really big in the flesh

  • Thanks. I don't have InDesign but will look into alternative. Global font is a good shout.
