Thanks guys, happy that you are entertained ;-)
As you know, originally I just wanted to build up the US saeco as an mgoof…
But now that I have this crankset at hand and another (details coming soon) sz 56 red saeco frameset in the pipeline, I am seriously considering to build another classic red saeco.
Of course i do not want to copy my initial build from two years ago, but make it even nicer when it comes to the details.
But this might be a slow burner and I can only tell you guys more once that said frameset has arrived (which will be some time in February i guess)
By the way… The Petito frame came incredibly smart and well packed (note the fork positioning)
That petito guy wasnt too petit by the way. Frame is 57.5 TT c-c 😅

My 2020 build for reference for those who missed it back then:

All time fave. You won't beat that aesthetically. I'd be tempted to go as modern and practical as possible this time.
Is the petito not too big for you?

Surely full period correct on the team bike.
Wild mgoof on the US -

Or that ^.
Can’t wait for mgoof to be accepted into the Oxford dictionary.

Copped this one by the way (thanks for the leads)..
Unfortunately the condition is not toooo great, so I am going to switch it when I find some time to put it up for sale
So if anyone‘s interested in a complete 11s Super Record groupset… DM

Frameset is up for sale if anyone is interested.
Will post pics on here soon

Okay so here is the rough draft:
The hideous build above consists of a 2000 team replica frame which, according to the seller (first owner) is in great state. I will not find out in person until march or so. Reason is that a friend had to pick it up as it was very far away from my place and the seller refused to ship.
So with this (hopefully) flawless frameset plus the flawless coda crankset, I think I am pretty close to the 2000 catalogue spec (attached) including the chainrings 😛.
“Problem” is, that the 2000 version only reps mavics and no spinergys, so while i still like the catalogue spec its a bit less spectacular than the 98/99 ones.
So at this point i am not sure what I am going to do.
Oh and the bike got a 10s record so also catalog spec

Today I managed to get the CODA/Saeco Team Edition Bottom Bracket out of the frame together with the help of a good friend.
Super happy!
Cups look great and apart from some wear on the axle everything looks fantastic (photos soonish)
Frame is now officially for sale
- Frame, Fork, SP clamp
- TT 57.5 c-c
- paint has some bubbles and wear
- TT has two lil dents
I chatted with Roberto and he told me its probably his Giro d‘Italia Frame
No price in Mind for this cutie, so happy for offers

Hah
So much (unnecessary?) stuff coming in these days, I am tempted to say both, but luckily, in this case, I restricted myself to only one of the two 😇
Edit:
I very much feel like things are coming together slowly, after more than a year of hardcore ebay doomscroll
Maybe its time for a longer tl;dr post to put you guys in the picture of what I am up to with all the stuff (and even more important: why)

Found him…
KOGA 2005ish FULLPRO Track Frameset in Dutch Orange Metallic/Pearl White.
As there‘s only sizes 53, 56 and 59 I am good with a 53 and a 110mm stem (which I have not acquired yet).
What I know is that it was handmade and TIG welded and what I read on here and on pedalroom is that it was Japan made. Any facts on this?
Well I am pretty happy to be back on track (get it ? Hehehehehhe).
The Look was awesome but I needed a track bike which does not give me headaches when I lean it to a wall…
