So what it is is the 2006-2009 model which sits right beneath the Gios Carbon Lite which is all carbon.
From the 2009 catalogue it looks like below.
This has a really advanced aluminium main triangle, the Dedacciai V107 alu which has a special heat treatment and which was drawn for Gios specifically according to the blurb in the catalogue.
Front and rear is carbon. Mizuno all carbon fork for Gios.
This was sold as a 57 squared but according to the catalogue a 57cm TT is a 58. I ride 59-60cm c-c ordinarely so this a bit on the smaller side for me. Maybe it's a catch and release. :p

Keen if you return it to the waters...

Let's have a chat.

Ok, so the Gios is ITA threaded. What are my options for bottom bracket cups if I want to go Campa?
-
• #81
You can go Ultra-Torque easily. Same for Power-Torque, but I think the consensus on that system is that it's rubbish. Or square taper obviously.

5 Arm Chorus 11 was Ultra-Torque so has a standard modern spindle length
-
• #84
@Señor_Bear is correct. You don't have to worry about spindle length with Chorus 11 cranks. Once you select 'ITA' for the BB cups, it automatically selects '70mm' (which is the ITA BB shell width). If that's what you meant.

A great deal popped up courtesy of @Pasty_Spumante so I got a mini-group of Chorus Gen 1 bits coming in for the Gios.

Cheers mate; needs must but hopefully I can start again with beacons (on here) shifters that I've got that will sprout into a groupset when work etc picks up. Look forward to the build pictures.

Kinlin XR22 or XR31?
-

Not a black machined sidewall right?
I run a Kinlin on the Spesh and the high gloss is really glossy. :/

These are popular on the wheelbuilding thread, I've just started building one up

Got those ^ on Tune hubs. No complaints
-
• #98
Heavy rim for such light hubs. Want some 20mm chinarbon?
-
• #99
Yes but yours are the wrong number of holes :)
My next wheels will likely be light bicycle 25mm on some fancy disc hubs that you can build for me though!

I keep forgetting this. Have you considered Ryde Pulse Comp rims? Wide, sub 400g and alu. Could be a 1200ish gram wheelset
Oops :)
