I did ponder that, it just then means that I have to mess around with the doors. To be honest I moved the cabin a year ago, and the floor has not gone down perfectly perpendicular to the walls, so there are large air gaps around the edge, so would be a good chance to sort that out at the same time.

Just knock it down and start again?

is normally my starting point...
Having taken this to bits once to move it, I don't fancy doing it again.

If you want to skimp on insulation I'd recommend a wood burner. We've gone light on insulation in our working space, keeping it at 10-15 degrees overnight and then make a fire to bring it up to 20ish during the day.

I did actually have a wood burner in here!
Took it out when I moved it, for a couple of reasons
- It produced a lot of dust, which with all my computing equipment was a bit of a nightmare to keep clean
- It took up quite a lot of space
Would love to have one in here again, but for now will stick with my little electric heater sadly

Sorry about the spam, does anybody want this laptop stand for a couple of beers? Nice and solid and adjustable (seen on the lowest setting, with an x220 laptop on the 1st pic for size reference). Happy to ship as I’ve kept the box it came in but beware, this thing is heavy. Or meet me in North/Central London. This model.

Work on the office starts tomorrow (stripping and plastering). Have moved up to the loft spare room temporarily and have finally got a matching 27" monitor. When the office is finished, I will likely get a corner desk for some more real estate and maybe then also have the laptop open for a third screen.

now you also need a matching coaster so you can put that second beer on the right side

First one won't last long enough.

I can't remember who recommended an upright laptop stand, but I am very grateful to whoever it was. It has been very handy keeping it out of the way without having to make some kind of under desk sling.

Can anyone recommend a laster printer (that does double sided printing) and is cheap?
Been looking at this HP one. Reviews are mixed ...

Which stand did you go for? I could probably do with one.

I can't remember exactly but it was a black, metal, adjustable one off eBay. More stable than I was expecting.

What's the forum approved mouse that doesn't cost a fortune (don't mind wired or wireless)? My Microsoft basics is giving up the ghost so need to upgrade.

The Logi MX Master is bloody brilliant. Think @chrisbmx116 recommended it.
Not cheap though, but they do have a range.

For work etc. I still think the Microsoft IntelliMouse range is amazing, even the old versions.
Work great, don't cost much, last forever, and look somewhat normal and not like a spacecraft from a dire future. -

Hmmmm dont think it was me? But maybe I chimed in on the convo? I swear by Magic Mice for macOS (swiping between full screen apps etc) and have a Logitech G903 for Windows and games, also have a Logitech 403 wireless for upstairs. Logitech are defo my go to for Windows mice.

I’ve got an MX master v1 spare as well, recently upgraded to MX master v3.
Can’t tell much difference to be truthful, other than having a better forward/back button for me.

At the budget end I use one of those Anker shark fin ones and like it
What if you put a floor on top of the floor?
