A possibility, although I'd have to chop it down a bit I think.

Ah, they're made of cardboard internally so I don't think they can be chopped
So you want to buy a desk top and chop it down to fit?

Just some kind of surface. I suspect I'll probably go with a double layer of 18mm MDF and a lick of paint for the cheapo option until I work out what I need.

Surely an IKEA table top is cheaper than a sheet of 18mm ply?

I've realised when the nice weathers here I'd rather make the most of it and then just work late.

Next time there is a deal on listing, tell her. Then get her to agree to put it all up that Sunday afternoon and offer to help.

problem is if I do gardening or whatever spring-like activities seem more appealing, I'm too exhausted to then work at night.

This is pretty much me every day.
Including the youtube videos about building your own wilderness retreat. -

Cheaper than ply but a lump of MDF is about a tenner.

Any recommendations for sit/stand desk frames apart from Flexispot? I want one which will allow a width of 90cm and a minimum height of 60cm and Flexispot don't offer anything that meets those criteria.

• #1662
Yip I shall do that.
I bit the bullet and cleared out the bags and boxes and it already feels much more welcoming.
Edit: I even watered the orchids on the window sill
Various bits of home office kit will be ordered from Central procurement office later today

That's a really nice space to work in. I'd want a desk twice that size, but I like your view and your books!
-

Thanks although the books probably don't hold up to closer inspection.
Plenty of pulp fiction and kids books on there.

Has anyone worn the Crocs slides?
Or basically any non-clog Crocs? My Lidl versions are getting a bit worn plus more garden use again, so dirty. I'd like some for the house but my OH hates them so was after something less offensive but still warm and comfortable for the house and sitting at a desk.
I have wide feet.
(pls no Birkenstock suggestions)

Not a bad shout.
But I need something that can be also used without socks. Those will stink in no time.
