Boringly I think they just hold on to the picture to keep it away from the wall when they raise or lower the desk.
Maybe they mount little rollers to the back of the frame for smooth operation?

Even just a bit of cello tape would probably give enough glide, as long as there’s a spot of blu tac under the frame, on the desk.

cello tape
Only works with keyboards.

I used to have a roll of Teflon tape, from when I applied them to the underside of mice for better Counterstrike...

Or oversized violas and violins.

Oh. I don't go on Instagram unless someone else links.
I'm going to be really cynical and say they never ever use that desk or space for anything except staging. I mean where is the electricity/power?
That alone resolves the issue of black marks.

Just bumping my question about stands for portable monitors.
-
• #1510
Just put it in a black frame and lean it against the wall?

You'd need to use some adhesive/double sided tape or try and find a tablet holder that will take something that large (I failed when I was looking, biggest I could find was 13" ones for Ipads so I gave up).

It's been mentioned on here before but any recommendations for a footrest? Something reasonably large as I like to move my feet around.

I found the same thing, hence the Q. It's also what's holding me back. Everything I think of seems a bit shit. Like putting it in front of my laptop to make a sort of double height set up.
The closest idea I had was making a bracket and screwing that into the beasty Nulaxy stand I'm using. But that's a lot of weight held at a distance.
But mainly it needs to be a better overall solution than just grabbing a big screen from the office and living with that on the table. Maybe I should just do that as I can't remember the last time I folded my laptop away anyway.
@tinakino , ha!

This is what I use with my portable screen https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007FNF5IC
That's mainly for portability for travel though when I'm just using it next to my laptop.

Apologies if this has been covered already but does anyone have any recommendations for good WFH shoes that do a good bit of arch support?

FML, I just can't concentrate on work.

Are you working standing up? Tried a standing mat? I got Ikeas and it made a huge difference
-

A standing mat? I'll look that up.
I stand on the edge of a carpet and the tassels are a bit annoying, I can feel them through my socks.
I also find standing better for focus but then if I do it too long my feet swell up, which is uncomfortable.

Are you working standing up?
No but I do move around at home a lot - office room at the top, everything I need at the bottom of the house. Noticed that I'm spending too much time in flat slippers.
Does such a thing as a 200x200 VESA desk clamp exist?
(For an 8kg 16:9 43" monitor. No need for rotation or swivel, tilt might be useful.)
Something like this would have been perfect: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mount-Monitor-Bolting-Ultrawide-Monitors/dp/B07HXPT265 but it is unavailable.
I'd prefer one takes VESA 200x200 directly rather than having to use an adapter from 100x100, mostly because the 200x200 ones will be designed to hold 8kg without a problem.
Aha: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mount-Monitor-Mount-Pattern-Monitors/dp/B07PGWG8YG/
Pole height of 16.75" shouldn't be a problem as the top bolts of the VESA 200 holes on the back are only 13" off the desk with its current feet on, and I could do with it being an inch or two higher.
[EDIT] Right, ordered that one. Looks perfect as I don't need sideways movement, I just want to get the monitor off the desk so I can use a bit of space underneath it. It should also mean the monitor can go back an inch or two as the panel with the VESA mounts is currently 6" from the wall.
