The frame was posted off to Bristol last week. I’ve confirmed paint choice and have finally settled on solid graphics in pink/purple. As Rob at Colourburn said, “don’t overthink it”, so I went with the scheme that I first loved the look of.

Storm Dennis also meant I had a bit of time pottering about this weekend, so I’ve also been giving myself a crash course in Illustrator. It’s been quite fun and out of the many (shit) logos I’ve knocked up, this is my favourite so far.

It seems I’ve been bumped up the queue and the frame has been painted this week, with graphics being done tomorrow.

Very nice, it'll totally transform it. Looking forward to seeing it built back up. Any changes to build spec planned?

To be honest, no. Everything that came off is going back on, except new brake cables, bar tape and I’m having the wheels rebuilt ready for the mountains in a few weeks. I might replace the saddle too, but for the same model. It’s all tried and tested and I’m happy with everything.

Now is a perfect time to experiment with a hydraulic shifting system!

I’ve been sent some (unofficial) photos of the frame painted, with graphics, but still in need of wet sanding and polishing.

It looks amazing and I’m over the moon.

Didn’t realise this project was a forum bike! I rarely check in here these days to be fair though.

Sorry for embargo request - sometimes customers I send W.I.P photos to share them online in their excitement, and it’s not always made clear that it’s not a finished job in said photos.... it’s not ideal having people see unfinished work and possibly assuming that it is the finished article!
