Agreed

Also agreed (even if those Pirellis puncture if you look at them ie 4 in 2 rides, although obviously not on this bike)

The vultures (understandably) circle.
Play the long game though - I fuck the build up (either way), public derision ensues (virtual or real, both will hit the spot), sale at a discount under the cover of darkness.
As Bontrager says, pick two

Just realised that I should spend as long on replying as sorting it out (shame intensifies)

Don't be ashamed. You're just methodical, weighing up all your options. Fuck this up though and I have my pitchfork and angry mob ready to roll.
Oh, lovely frame. -

Some inspiration, in case you haven't seen this

Oohh an update .
I am all for matchy matchy , and not seeing those carbon rims on there .
Record wheels sound great .
As to the stem, keep it and build it , and then just buy same in different colour or get it painted .
Work on the fit first , then fiddle on the stem .
Always liking your bikes , but you are obviously a bit taller than me .
My Merckx says hello .
I have another in Motorola flavour that I am pretty sure is wearing some old 7400 kit I obtained from you many years ago .
Keep us updated :)

That really is tidy although thankfully I'm put off the Lightweight option because of red valve

That Merckx is really tidy, I've owned a 7-11 one and a couple of others but they've always been slightly small. I eventually hope to get one the right size then I can prevaricate on that build too

Ok Ted - will let you know if I see any big Merck’s . Think this one may be a little small for me . As drop to bars awkward. Got some compact bars coming to try. Other one I have is bigger ..
Wish I had bought this - first dibs etc
