Class from Ronaldo!
My admiration for Zion has just gone off the charts. What a gent!!! For a rookie to do that is quite something.

One question.
Why are not getting direct communication from the government? Ie. Text message. It would be good to get clear and accurate information from the horses mouth. Not behind a newspaper paywall.

Could do that as well but guess most vulnerable won’t have phones

Cheers. I'll sign up. Thing is you need to sing up to get that. A text a day to many from the gov direct, saying the plan is X and do Y - and that's the gov line.
I feel that the media are creating so much hysterics, we need clear communication. While we should still have free media, they must take these time responsible.

The lack of regular communication from the government is shocking. There is no published plan of what regular communications will happen and when. Its only the 2pm update from the NHS on numbers at the moment and that is usually late and does more harm than good as it understates the number infected, especially since the pull back from home testing.

Government communication on the plan moving forward seems to be via leaks to Peston to put in his blog.

It's mind boggling that it's allowed, but it's been happening for ages - Brexit ads/articles placed in the Sun etc. and not the Guardian/BBC/whatever. Good way to divert eyeballs and revenue to the papers who support you unconditionally and withhold information from people who don't like you.
We have a publicly-owned media organisation just to make the whole thing even more disgraceful

That seems to be a different company (based in Bedfordshire), the one that Channel 4 were talking to are based in Belfast (I think, certainly NI). Also they are talking about developing a test, where the NI company seem to have one they are already shipping.
My understanding (and its minimal) is that the RT PCBs test for the actual virus, whereas the antibody tests test to see if you are producing the antibody to it. An amount of the antibody will continue to be produced and in your body forever once you have recovered. Thus the antibody tests can check if you have had it, if they are sensitive enough.
But I may have misunderstood something in there.

Interesting to see the response of countries with conscription and the population’s compliance to government requests.
South Korea has conscription, but also has very high male smoking rates (and very low female smoking rates)

So what have I missed? Looking at previous pages till I got lost attention.
Can someone answer these questions for me?
- Who is the authority on what is happening, is there a winner for biggest flounce? Biggest conspiracy theorist? Which shop has stock of pasta/toilet paper/rice. Is there a Quinoa or couscous shortage yet? Does anyone shop at M&S? What about Fortum and Masons?
