It's not that nuanced a point I was making.

This was sign posted as a debate that would include a discussion of vaccine hesitancy, which was picked up on by some online anti vax groups - who tried to apply en masse to attend. As a result, I'm sure a fair few more vaccine sceptics tuned in than for an average QT as it was covering the topic they care about. As Chalfie says - not all of them are full fruit loop - in fact I'd say the majority aren't - just the vocal minority.

Can’t find the degree certificate now. If someone doesn’t have a certificate can they still claim to have that degree?

Do universities still issue paper certificates? A signed QR code would seem more current.

I had to find mine a bit ago because anxiety about whether I'd actually passed my degree or not was insane in my head.

A friend worked in the administration department of my former university and looked me up on the system (at my request). They have a record of me attending but no record of what grade I got. There might be a paper copy somewhere but the department doesn't really exist in the same form so where is a bit of a mystery. I might ask one day and see.

You can get a copy, it’ll probably be on paper not rock carving like your original but it’s fairly a routine ask.

I do remember and I did have lots of fun which is part of the reason I have no honour. But I'm slightly amused to wonder what the response would be if an employer ever asked for evidence.

I like to think I wouldn't work for an employer that was stupid enough to trust a piece of paper I'd put in their hand, even if it has a watermark, but I'm probably kidding myself.

I also wonder whether I actually completed my diploma, but I'm too afraid to ask.

It was a serious mental concern of mine. The whole process of writing up, viva, rewriting, submitting just before the deadline, deliberately not going to graduation. I lost my mind over it and the anxiety dreams over completing were still happening 2 years after it was over. So I wrote to the university for my transcripts to prove it to myself. Even though I had the certificate.

Certificate. Yes I should look for that. I didn't go to the graduation either. It's just a niggling doubt I have - no anxiety dreams or anything. But, I really don't think I completed one of the modules. I'm also pretty sure they gave me the diploma but I've always wondered about the incompleted module. I'd like to see my detailed transcript to prove it to myself, but if it's missing anything it's a whole can of worms (my professional status rests in part on that qualification).
