I think that's closer to a nicely reported anecdote rather than big S Science, but they know that, and presumably you do too.
Not to say it's not interesting.
-
• #15403
Agreed, but your colleagues can drag it in?
We will have some serious cleaning/mask rules once back to work.
-
• #15404
Yeah I mean if I was in charge of those guys I'd say wear a mask and keep washing your hands every 30 minutes or so.

Is the City of London very densely populated?
That's not an area with a lot of key workers and multi-generational families in one property is it?
Can't wait for Boris to say something like "well those bankers, they aren't good at sticking to the lockdown rules..." :p

~ 8,000 residents.
-
• #15408
~ 8,000 residents.
City and Hackney are one health authority for that reason.

The more detailed ward maps show the cases correspond with the Hasidic Jewish areas of Stamford Hill, where there've previously been serious outbreaks, although I don't know if that's what's happening again.
But probably best not to talk about bankers.

¯_(ツ)_/¯ I agree, but just doing what I am told... I did say to attend the appointment next Monday might be pushing it in terms of getting the results back, she then decided to push the appointment back for a whole week instead of next Tue or Wed...
We will see if I can get in to see her the day when I get my result. Or not do the test until end of this week... Like I said, I have no symptom, so I don't think it matters as far as accuracy is concerned, if I do it today or on Friday.
-

If you want a negative result then you might as well do it today since you might be exposed tomorrow.
-
• #15413
This is my entire point, I think it’s my GP practice that want patients to have a negative result before they go in.
Also, why are these kits being delivered by dreadful Amazon!
I don’t go out much these days anyway, so might as well just stay put until my appointment except for food shopping...

Anyone any idea why it’s so low as you go out west, eg Kingston and Richmond?
-
• #15415
Lower population density.
At a guess.

Money.
Usually. -

Better off people spend less time in caring professions being exposed or on public transport on the way to their minimum wage cleaning job or driving a minicab etc. Fewer infection opportunities if you can work from home.

Ealing tho.
Ealing 11.1 (38), 5.6 (19)
Richmond upon Thames 4.0 (8), 4.5 (9)
Kingston upon Thames 5.6 (10), 2.3 (4)
-
• #15419
Wouldn't class Ealing as particularly well-off area of London
-
• #15420
Now you told.
-
• #15421
Mind you, I accidentally cycled into an HR Owen Ferrari holding pen earlier this year in the area, could have been Harlesden.
-
• #15422
Ealing isn't all Victorian villas.

This is a cross post as I need urgent advice from others who have had a PCR test:
COViD PCR test - I need one.
Anywhere cheap or free I could get one in central London 96 hours prior to me (hopefully) flying on the 21st?
I'm running out of money and at my wits end. Bought another flight but a requirement is a PCR test (with certificate) that after looking online is around £129-£165.
Obviously I can't afford repeating that too often if my flight gets canned again..So if anyone has a recommendation of anywhere more reasonable please let me know.

Start a thread on here, I'm sure there are plenty of folk who would chip in a few quid to
get rid of you to the other side of the planethelp you out. I would.
