Sounds wholly unworkable and Hancock can do one with his appeals to civic duty and do the right thing

Maitliss has been benched by the BBC after her intro on newsnight yesterday. Properly wound a few people up it seems.

Link?

Really? I don’t think she strayed from objective fact.
That’s a new low.

If track and trace is advisory then presumably there is no compulsion to pay staff who stay at home?

what's the point of the bbc if they turn into forelock tugging, craven bootlickers everytime one of their number speaks truth to power?
why the fuck is keunnsberg still on the air?
beyond useless.

Benching her is not moving on, clearly Boris doesn't want to move on, he just wants his way.

• #13787
Guys, you're missing the key point. The fact that Maitlis pissed off the far right, and that the BBC capitulating and apologising and taking her of the air has pissed off everyone else, is just evidence of the BBC's impeccable impartiality.

I'm not going to make myself popular, but I did think Emily Maitlis tone was too impartial for the BBC. The best way to hold these buggers to account is dispassionately.

I posted that link without comment in response to the previous post.

Apologies, was just commenting on the scenario, didn't mean to reply to you.

Wait that's not how this works is it?
I mean, shut up you fuck. You benched herself, didn't you? Where is she? Have you Fritzled her? I'm calling the police.

His performance in that committee was: I can't answer, I've been told not to give targets, I think we should move on from Cummings, you can't see the evidence I saw, I'll probably decline your invitation to come again. Cheerio.

[Edited post]
There was a prediction somewhere in an article of millions of extra cases in the US when all is said and done:

So Emily Maitless was reprimanded for "stating an opinion".
I am willing to grudgingly give the BBC the benefit of the doubt if they apply this rule consistently...do they? I haven't been following them in depth enough to know.
Anybody complaining about impartiality can >>>>> though with Kunssberg still in a job.

Cheers, that doesn't work here, though. :)
I found the article, and I got that completely wrong--it was millions of cases. Post above edited.
Few issues with test and trace: it's all advisory for now, contacts isolate but not their household, there has just been a recent example of someone loosely interpreting rules surrounding isolation. Hope it all goes well regardless.
