The only vaguely interesting element there is Farah Sassoon at Trust Reservations https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/03829637/officers
She seems to have budded up variously over the years as a Labour donor

This reads a little bit like it was made up by Labour supporters to embed stereotypes around dumb right wing patriotic people. I'm not saying people exactly as dumb as this don't exist, just that in this instance it sounds a little scripted. Interested if there's a source.
The right have deployed similar tactics, so I'm not making a partisan point here.

Interesting that its such a low figure and far less than the cost of that freebie poster. Would assume theres a second round of info to come?
Poorly handled, KS, poorly handled. Its nothing story thats becoming mildily interesting due to the way his team are dealing with it.

I assume it's just from the Register of Interests and will be updated in due course
https://www.theyworkforyou.com/mp/25353/keir_starmer/holborn_and_st_pancras#registerThere is various mention of UNISON printing leaflets and posters there, although the amounts seem quite low.

So the Labour leadership still hasn't been resolved. Amazing really. I voted for Lisa Nandy, with Starmer second preference.

Same here, and Angie Rayner as deputy.

Starmer Rayner.

Hope he proves to be better at winning elections than Corbyn.

He could hardly be worse, but is unlikely to be presented with the open goals that Corbyn missed so brilliantly.
-
• #563
There were open goals and he made countless unforced errors but at the same time I'd hardly call the Brexit situation an open goal, and being monstered by the PLP and the press day in day out didn't help either!
We'll just have to see what the public make of Starmer's 'electability'!
-
• #564
Bearing in mind that at the moment Starmer can't even bring himself to decry the Tories' contemptible response to Covid-19, I'm not holding my breath at the prospect of the forensic opposition we've been promised, but we'll see...

Give him a second, he's only been in position a few hours

Voted RLB but happy with the result

I know yeah sorry that sounded more critical than it meant to be. He has just seemed barely visible throughout this whole affair which worries me a bit, but we'll see what happens over the coming days and weeks.

Recent article on just that point.

Thanks, that's an interesting article.

Hopefully we can put the whole disaster of Corbyn behind us.
-
• #571
A good way to bring everyone together might not be publicly proclaiming Corbyn to be a disaster at every opportunity a la the observer. Let's move on together!
-

You shouldn't hide from past mistakes for fear of repeating them.
-
• #573
Totally agree!
That's not the same as kicking people when their down though, that's not how you build a persuasive argument. We need to make sure the left of the party don't repeat the mistakes of the right too, and everyone works together.

He's hardly down. He's probably on the up, assuming the election result was the nadir.
It's also total bollocks for you to try and silence people by saying let's forget the past and unite for the future. We need to exorcise this shit. Corbyn was a total disaster and has probably held back progressive left wing politics for a decade by providing an easily identifiable bogey man for the opposition to unite against.
Labour can only regain power (and that should 100% be their goal) by acknowledging the fact that the people did not want this brand of leftism.
