Fury? I mean, I think having ferries that can basically nullify a riders effort is a bit of a shit idea in a race. But I'm not a race org so who cares what I think. :)

Does anybody know how many days the finish is staffed for?

I've not seen the manual. Finish party is usually something like 15 days after the start.

If I can recall right, the finishers party is on 08 August and the deadline is at midnight...anyone who can arrive after this time is a finisher but not for the GC.

You would think that banning that would have been more sensible. Unnecessarily dangerous when they knew it existed. One thing doing it during the day, but very different at 3am in the rain.

I dunno. It's odd they blanket ban roads but in this case just noted it as a risk. I can barely walk in my midfoot shoes at the best of times but I've crawled up and down worse shit than that so if it wasn't banned and saved time I'd have done it.

Bike parkour option, mad. First thought was carry a bit of paracord and lower the bike, throw the shoes down then follow but after 4000km I can see just f'ing doing it, like that fella.
