Perhaps the Red nail varnish you suggested did it.

First skylarks of the year this morning. I am not too butch to admit that I shed a few small tears of joy listening to them. First swallows of the year in the afternoon, another happy moment.

First sand martins for me today and the county has had a massive influx of kittiwakes passing through today, several hundred pitched up at some local gravel pits

I got crappy zoom pics of a Goosander today.

I went to Otmoor, it was super muddy, I saw a Marsh Harrier but otherwise just coots and swans, and my daughter got quite muddy and had a severe sense of humour failure :(

Nice shots. Lovely light for it.

I'd choose the Red Kite tbh! Saw a pair of G's on my morning run plus what is probably a Cormorant on crappy zoom / eyesight but I wasn't certain as more white bits than I recall them having.

Heard my first Sedge Warbler of the year this morning. Also, many Willow warblers, 7 yesterday and 4 today. Spring is here!

Jealous of your kite shots, I grabbed a couple today but was in the middle of cooking a roast. We really are spoilt round these parts - I counted seven at one point, all fighting for scraps in my neighbours garden.

I think one of our neighbours puts food out, they keep diving there. Looks like cooked chicken grabbed from a lawn.

Oh, really looking forward to the sedge and reed warblers here. We can’t get to the river at the moment due to flooding.

I think I had a Collins guide when I was that age. Loads of bird pics to look at and information that became more interesting as I got older.

Lovely. Bottom shot is especially nice. Love to see a wren.

Love to see a wren.
Saw one on the wall separating the patio from our garden yesterday morning. Made my day.
We've waited a year since we put up the niger seed feeder for golden chaffinches
They arrived today.
