Nice...but pricey.

lol... when you’re less justified in your choice than a coke dealer.

Not quite in the his'n'hers chainsaw/ride-on lawnmower demographic but it is an absolutely ludicrous purchase, granted... Last coffee scales I'll every buy!!
PS I'm planning to buy two (not) very expensive (but much more expensive than those scales) guitars this month, do stay tuned...
Deflection, desperate stuff...

Would recommend dentist holidays in Bonn if you need crowns and have time.

I've just spoken to one of my clerks who popped into Chambers today and who says the rims are there waiting for me. I can only assume that the magical properties of Lincoln's Inn somehow came into play.

Ah a chamber's clerk, one of white collar working's most demeaning jobs, and the epitome of Upstairs / Downstairs. It was truly incredible the shit I saw them do for some of the members in the set I worked in.
On the flipside it may be one of the last remaining white collar jobs you can get without a degree, and with the right kind of chat (think used car salesperson mixed with Eastenders market stall) you can work your way up to damn fine packet.

He's definitely giving him a run for his money. Metaphorically speaking of course, running is best left to clerks.

I think times have changed. Back when I was a pupil the junior clerks were treated like domestic staff by some members, but not any more. I did once ask the junior clerk to pick up some dry cleaning for me while I was on holiday, but other than that I've never asked them to do any personal chores for me.

Family history helps too. My first junior clerk's brother was a clerk, his father is a clerk, his uncle was a clerk and I believe his grandfather was too. As for not needing a degree, I don't think my clerk's room has an A-Level between them.

I guess it was 6-7 years ago since I was at Matrix (as a researcher) but friends still there don't report much difference. Maybe matrix was different since it breeds a fair few judges, and to become a judge requires a nearly super human level of self belief (and usually entitlement).
FWIW I'm not having a dig at you or all barristers - there were plenty of good ones (who became good friends) as well

I like Ti frames, as I have four

I don't think it was me, but it's true in my case.

That makes it sound like they stumbled upon some ti frames and only liked them because there was an even number of them. Must be 'new money' with that grammar.

This is andyp on his ti status
I have three currently

For reasons of full transparency, I have four, two full bikes and two frames, but I need to sell one of the frames.

I have three of the same model Serotta- one in use, one for DR and one in the US. I don’t feel that you are being fair to AndyP here.
