Our car sits idle most of the time, it's a 53 plate with 100,000+ on the mileage mostly from previous careful owner who did lots of trips between London & Honiton.

I dunno, I was gonna hire a car for a holiday and it worked out cheaper (in theory) to buy one and sell it, and we'd have it for the duration of the holidays. It was a good idea until we kept it for 2 years.

yep - proper rep car. I learned to drive in it. Then when they replaced it a few years after they passed it on to me.
Dad wasn't a rep, he just liked the car. (Technically it was mum's car but he chose it.)
