Overheard at the LFGSS golf club bar

Did they make you thread and dye your eyebrows so you could look more like the chap in the video?

They had stick on ones as it was my first visit.

Very much reminds me of the modelling/advert work my brother used to do*, looking aspirationally preened and pretty and absolutely unnatural alongside a woman.

*I got none of the looks in the fam.

10/10 wanky based on the video. That's just down the road from where my Gran used to live in Toft, it's changed a lot! Can't you go for a swim??

There’s a fancy pub and a farm shop cafe in Bourn itself if you fancy a change. Or pop the bike in the car - the F2D/10 starts just north of there as is well fast.

It’s only one parent per child. I do football fun factory on a Sunday morning so it’s usually mrs soul by herself but we were going somewhere straight after swimming today hence my first golf club bar experience.

Toft looks like a nice place. Lots of barn conversions and another golf club though. Looks £££.

This isn’t a regular thing but the lesson is only 45 mins (she’s 2 & 1/2) so not really worth doing anything else.

I had an AF beer and watched soccer Saturday on the big telly.

To be fair, the woman in it deserves an Oscar for how accurately she portrayed "bored as fuck wife"

All I could think of was that they were a pair of assassins and using the stay as cover. Everything so completely soulless.

This is the place for those who want to judge just how wanky it is. 8/10 for me.

To be honest, while it's clear that this is a very wanky place, it undoubtedly lacks the je ne sais quoi wankiness of the kind of golf club where you can only become a member if you already know a member...that place is a business, not a place owned by the membership. Members clubs are where you will find another level of snobbery.

That’s why I scored it 8/10.

It is a lot of money, but it is stacked with all the tech, best in class battery and build quality.

Ha. Not quite. Have a couple more teeth than that.

(We did this a while ago in a separate thread. We went to the same secondary school but me a few years ahead of you..)

When we left Barton the house still had a tennis court in the garden. Subsequent owners seem to have built a whole new house on that bit of land and sold it off.

(My parents also then lost all of their money due to businesses failing. So no automatic golf club entry for me...)
