It was a first class TGV.

Interrailing though, so it's all very murky.

First class on the TGV is only a couple more euros more than the standard ticket. You do it as a matter of course to avoid people's children.

Doesn't work any more; everyone is wise to the cheap early-bird 1st class tickets now. TGV is rammed this summer.

Ahh, haven't been on a train since May or June. Nobody was on holiday then.

This summer we have been from Rovinj to Venice to Innsbruck to Zurich to Paris and will be going on to London.
