  • Hot pink is a win.
I have hot pink anodised flat bars if you want them...

  • That is real smart!

  • Haha that would be a great, ill hold off for now as im a bit short on cash. But maybe down the line at some point :)

  • Ok well ive got them both built up and some ok photos. I wanna get some better photos but these will do for now. Im still learning on the photography front. Overall im happy. I slightly screwed up the geo on the track frame head angle came in at 73deg instead of 74.5 which is what i was aiming for, but not the end of the world. Its hard to convey the pink in photos, but i'm happy with the colour. Powdercoated by aurum, with an amazing 3 day turnaround, what a legend.

  • The colour looks more accurate on the track frame than the road frame, i was struggling to get it to come out. Post only screwed with it more

  • That pink and blue combo is really good!

  • Both look rad

  • Don't know how you pulled of those colours with that anodising and that stem but can confirm pink roadie is really fucking good in the flesh. Not liked a road build that much in a while.

    Keep it up!

  • Both look sweet. I think you've inspired me to make a track frame to match the road one I was planning

  • Thanks! yeah i didnt expect the colours to work that well, but it turned out ok. Im going to try and take some better photos today, that better convey the colour. It looks like a neon lamp in some of those shots hah

  • Im also lining up the next build at the moment, will be an all road 1* gravel thing. Hopefully clear big ish tyres maybe up to about 40c. I just gotta pick a fork and figure out which dropouts i wanna use then im set

  • Here is the geo as it stands, will probably change a touch.

  • Im not yet decided on the fork, ideally id like to keep the price low ish. I have a columbus disc fork in the geo at the moment, but they pretty spendy. I dont think there will be loads of cash kicking around in the next few months so IDK. Then again i am due a tax refund hah

  • Awesome! yeah theres a weird satisfaction from building matching frames hah

  • Bit of progress. Mitred up the front end of a gravel/allroad frame. But i dont have a 12*142 dummy axle and dont have any stock to make one. I cant make any progress till i get one, as the next thing to do is mitre the chainstays.

So ill order another axle, in the meantime i started on the chainstay/bb assy of another road frame, as the rear end of the jig is currently free. Its so nice working with breezer dropouts after a few frames with plate dropouts. Way easier to weld, and mitre.

  • Selcof gravel+ fork takes 45 or 50mm tires, not sure because mixed info on planetx, but its 150£ methinks. In case you wanted something cheaper.

  • @nogk @Simba Awesome, thanks these are both good options. Ill leave it a bit, i might be able to gather some money in the next few weeks and see what i can get.

There was a really nice set of columbus gravel forks custom painted going the other day on here. But they had the steerer cut a bit too short i reckon and wouldnt work :(

  • Ok well ive made decent progress. Got two more frames sorted and another one is about 20% done. The two finished ones will be off to powdercoat soon. It looks like the 3rd frame is getting a fancy wetpaint finish from quintessential customs. The mate im building it for has struck a deal in exchange for some camera work. All very exciting, they do cool stuff. Will be nice to have a really nice paintjob on one of my frames

  • A road frame and a gravel frame. road is all life, gravel is all zona

  • Im pretty happy with how these came out. Everything went relatively smoothly. the only mistake i made was i accidentally built the gravel frame with a 72mm shell. I didnt even think i had any 72mm shells. Anyway, wasnt the end of the world. Just faced 2.5mm off each face all is well now.
