Technically you have to race in the team kit shown on your card, I'd recommend changing your team and requesting a new one.
Although I've never seen this being enforced in the lower cats, goodwill for riders showing lfgss might become limited.

I think @Velocio should pin this thread and register britishcyclingsucks.co.uk :)
What I meant about the importantance of the principal is if we leave BC that's fine for LFGSS but then having successfully thrown their weight around here they might start doing it to other clubs.
My club has a forum. Nobody uses it but I don't want us to be responsible for its content or have BC trying to censor it either. LFGSS CC leaving BC might be trivial but it wouldn't be for our club members.

4th Cats can race in whatever they like in BC races. In CTT events it has to be team or un-branded but not another team.

Not exactly the same, but BC like to throw their weight around with small clubs: https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/latest-news/porn-pedallers-cycling-club-british-cycling-affiliation-revoked-409723

I'm going to undelete the comment, and let them boot us if that is their prerogative and they can deal with any repercussions of doing so (press).

As the LVCC chair I share these concerns. What on earth are BC up to ?
-
• #60
Fox- which club are you a member of? I am trying to get a London Clubs' network set up.
-
• #61
To be fair, that was to avoid embarrassment.
The Porn Peddallers may have had a more representative membership than some of the white , middle class mates clubs that get set up . They affiliate and then put nothing back .
The Porn Pedallers E2 25 might have been an interesting event.

Hub Vélo. It might well not be my department but if you want to pm me any details I can share with the committee.

Hahahahaha. This is British Cycling you're talking about. They specifically sliced up London to avoid it dominating cycling in Britain. The boundaries run through London and what would be the countries largest clubs are instead split over regions.

I have corrected at least some of the spelling mistakes in it that were offending you!

No one would have noticed if they had not booted them out!

It's not impacting for me but it might be for M_V if they try and sue for defamation / libel.
Your repetition of the original post could also be a libel by you.
That said, I can’t see how that post is defamatory. Insulting maybe but not defamatory.

I suspect more its more bureacracy than deviousness.
We , LVCC , have some common interest with Essex clubs but holding BC regional meeting in N Essex/Suffolk enable clubs to work together.
Don't forget that until 2010 there were very London clubs whose members were still in London.
No, they have little interest in club development or support. Does anyone remember Brian Cookson 's attitude towards the Eastway. -

Constitutionally, the cycling club belongs to the forum and not the forum to the cycling club.
Many (almost all) cycling clubs have web based forums. Those belong to the clubs and therefore fall under the auspices of BC. Not LFGSS.

So this is about a post from about 14 months ago??

That was buried 31 pages back in the thread.
I'll just leave this here...

If you were racing a Nat B you might get quizzed over your kit but I can’t see it happening at 2/3/4 level.
The comms haven’t got time and are more interested in keeping people safe.

This is remarkable.
I imagine Public Relations keeps eating Ethics & Compliance’s yoghurt from the office fridge. They don’t get on. The Porn Peddlers and LFGSS are collateral damage.
We should fight our (fruit) corner.
Anyone trying to police 'bad language' on the internet is already fighting a lost cause from the start.
Also I don't race, but I am a BC member for insurance purposes mainly, and I didn't have much of an opinion one way or the other so far, but this entire thing about one post they don't like very much moves them into the 'dodgy cunts' territory for me. Might be worth it to me to make the effort to change to LCC or something after all now...
