I wish I was badass and indestructible! I feel like I'm falling to bits lately! 😂

With all the machining going on, surely you can get some Tetsuo style upgrades?
-
• #504
I could definitely do with some kind of Cobra buckle spinal column where I can swap out the vertebrae when needed. 😁

Hi just wanted to see how things are progressing and if there's anything one can do to help? My BRP hoodie is still my favourite sweatshirt!

I'm sat looking at the Adriatic sea, under the shade of an olive tree.
Water is provided in my favourite go to bottle - BRP quarter turn in bad ass black. Probably at least a decade old and still going very strong.
Thanks Scott.

Thanks for the kind words guys... I'll reply properly tonight. Xxx

As depressing as it sounds, things are no better really than my last update.
I'm now working seven days a week. One job is five days, the other is the full seven.
Despite that I still can't make ends meet, but am still determined not to lose my flat. I know that if I lose this place, and have to put all my sewing machines, benches, materials etc in storage...chances are BRP won't be coming back again.
I'm still doing my usual 'mental designing'...I'm still trying to make tiny steps forward with the hardwear designs with the help of the ever awesome August Bicycles.
But my priority at the moment is just to keep surviving, keep paying everything and try not to let my debts get out of hand.
I'm still trying my best to stay positive, and I still have faith that I can bring BRP back to be better than ever... But fuck me, life is exhausting at the moment.
Again, thank you for the support on here...it does help. XEdit...
Just to add a little irony... I had a letter from Companies House about a week ago to say I was late filing my 'company accounts' 🙄
I finally figured out how to do it online, and despite them being zero for everything as the company has done nothing since I registered it, they fined me £150 for being thirty days late. 😕 -

On the bright side... I've developed the best twat-tan I've ever had from working outdoors every single day! 😁
-
• #510
I'm glad there are still a few bits of BRP in use. 😁
I hope everything is going well with the reffing? -
• #511
Well no more help if you can’t just file your bum accounts! Haha.
Chin up buttercup. Don’t make us send you adorable books in the post. Xx
-
• #512
By 'adorable books' do you mean that still sealed 'Twin Peaks special edition' copy of Playboy you guys have pugged away in the sock drawer? 😉
-
• #513
HAHAHAHA. You wish! Took me an age to find one copy to delight Gavin with a few Christmases ago!
You can have a shitty ‘Mindfulness for dummies’.

Sounds like that'll be way over my head!

Hi Scott,
I’m in Adelaide, Australia and 10 years ago I reached out after becoming aware of your bags. I was lucky enough to secure a Red messenger bag from you after another customer was unable to complete his order. One that had some upgraded materials you hadn’t previously used.
It’s been a daily companion for the full 10 years and has worn in beautifully - looking almost brand new still with the materials just a bit more supple. It rarely leaves my side.
To this day I’ve never seen another bag that even vaguely compared to it. It goes casually over my shoulder to take my laptop and headphones to work, or can be fully strapped on when I expand it and carry more than I should on my bike.
I found this thread by googling BRP after wondering if you’d released any other products in the intervening years and was sorry to read about your hardships.
There must be a way to make it work though - you might be the greatest bag maker in the world and I hate the thought that you aren’t producing. Do a kick starter, or take some pre orders and deliver on them. Set a price that lets you drop a day from your jobs. Something, so that others can enjoy your bags as much as I have enjoyed mine over the last 10 years.
All the best,
Brett -

Hey Brett! Great to hear from you and really happy that the bag is still working for you. 😀
Hopefully things will be able to start moving forwards a bit more in the next few months as my financial mess starts easing up and gives me some money to put towards the bags again.
I'm really looking forward to finally getting some prototypes finished, with all the new details I've been working very hard on.
I've definitely not given up on them despite having a horrendous couple of years which have pushed me to the absolute limits and put quite a few more scars in the archives.
Check in on this thread from time to time over the coming months!
Thanks again to everyone for the support!

Maybe you've already looked into this, but have you considered making a kickstarter campaign? I think with the right photos and marketing, you could get some funding easily. Especially with your estabilished reputation and some of your products already out there
-
• #518
As I've said before, I can't do a kickstarter campaign without the products to put on there. I can't finish prototyping the products I want to sell without the necessary funds to finish my custom hardware and buy all the required materials and other hardware I need. I don't have any spare time to continue working on stuff at the moment as I'm working seven days a week to try and cover all my outgoings so I don't lose my flat, and by default my workshop.
It's been a very rough couple of years, but things are starting to look up at the moment, so all being well the bag side of things will be able to start moving again. -

How's it going scott, how is things moving?

Ha! I should be so lucky!
I haven't ridden anything but my Omnium for nearly three years now, and it currently looks like it's been dredged from a canal. 😂 -

2023 is going to be my year! 😘
-
• #523
Great beacause I still want a bag. Preferably a bag pack ;)
-
• #524
You and me both! 😂

And more hoodies!
That sounds like good progress all around, despite the numerous difficulties you have faced - well done on trying to stay positive and making progress. I still marvel at my Grobag - every time I put it on I feel badass and indestructible.
