It's in great condition and from a bit of research it's 1991.
It's rolling ready and all I'm going to do at first is give the frame a good clean along with the components. -

Nice forks.

These look great original but that's really tidy with the RC 30s
PS If you need some amber walls I have some spare

Lusted after one of them in my youth, along with a Nishiki Alien. When you replace the tyres, Panaracer Smoke and Dart combo.

Thanks everyone.
If I wanted slicks for use on the road, What would be a good option?
-

Maxxis DTH tanwall.

I'm liking my Maxxis Holy Rollers a lot
Edit, not really slicks but they have a nice round profile and low threads.

Schwalbe Big Apples or Maxxis DTHs would be my two main choices for sure.

Yeah I agree. Needs knobblies. Buys first MTB, asks about road tyres? Put road tyres on your road bikes and fall in love with MTBing. Off road :)

Knobbled it is then.
I will get a pair of IRC Mythos XC :) -

The original saddle needs some attention as it has a rip on the nose and is coming apart at the edges -
