  • Code is, I think TCRNo7. If that does not work it is done variant of that. When I was doing my quote it gave me 10 percent off. Adventures and snowcard seemed to fit the bill too.

  • TCRNo7 works

  • If I exluded USA I save £9
If I change cover from 60 day trip max to 30 day trip max it knocks £60 off.

So if you're not racing TABR, then you can save quite a bit.

  • Renewed.

  • How is the knee doing?
I've got a chesty cough which is annoying as I have a 400 scheduled for this weekend coming

  • Yeah, I'll see how I feel closer but at the moment I'm 50/50

  • I was thinking about doing it with the missus (ooh err) but I've only just had my first commute on a still shredded arse and my wrist is still braced so it ain't looking likely.

  • I got round the 200 with no issues so I reckon it's not a cycling injury but a parenting or kneeling one.
a little bit tender, but bit when I'm riding.
so I'm planning on doing the dawdle, just entered this morning

  • Just had rabies and tbe injections. Also got note from doctor but not sure if it says enough. I guess I'll have to ask Anna. Or just rock up with it...

  • You won't get an answer. I had the same issue last year and this was the reply I got:

Can you please refer closely to the race manual we provided to you, in it we are clear about what is required in the doctor's note.
We do not offer to check 300 doctor's notes because we already provide very clear instructions on what is required.

  • That's good if they don't check them!

  • How is it? I'm getting the first one next week. Bit worried.
    (Rabies injection)

  • I had all of the injections before TCR4 and didn't notice anything. I've heard some people can get flu-like symptoms with some of them though so it's probably hit and miss depending on the person.

  • Arm a bit sore, can't lie on that side, but no big deal.
I've had a few before. If I hadn't said I was high risk I would have been good for 10 years from what I had in 2016, but I really don't want to get rabies and risk of getting bitten by a dog is pretty high.

  • Thanks, should be good.

  • ALL THE INJECTIONZ

    caps

  • How often do you need them?

  • I still have jabs and hi-vis stuff to sort.
Still thinking I'll add this to some regular items.

  • Anyone signed up for komoot?

Do you know if they've published the required parcours in map form? I'd rather have their gpx data than try and copy from a PDF picture. They used to have a Google Map of it.

And let me answer my own question:
"We are pleased to be partnering with komoot for TCRNo7, they will be supporting the TCRNo7
Podcast and are hosting the TCRNo7 CP map that will contain all the up-to-date parcours GPX files.
The TCRNo7 x komoot map will be available once all of the CP locations and parcours are finalised, we have some outstanding work on the final CP3 and Finish Controls yet to confirm."

  • Every 10 years for normal people but every 3 years 'if you are working with animals'.
I thought 'if you are regularly chased by packs of angry stray dogs' was a better fit with the higher level.

  • Yes, I signed up for it straight away. I only want it to get their file and, you are right, it's not up yet.

I guess someone is going to be going down to Alpe d'Huez to see what the tracks are like. Problem is that they are still under snow.

Also someone is going to have to go to Brest to find a half-decent place for the finish. That might be more of a challenge!

  • What would you add it to?

Gilet has loads on and saddlebag already has some. Can't see much more from behind.
    Shorts - not really?
Socks - ditto. Ankle bands would be better.
Could put more on saddlebag but would knacker its waterproofness...

Worth looking into injections sooner rather than later as some need multiple jabs, depending on what you have had before.

  • I have the Rapha pro team Gilet in yellow, I was thinking of adding it to. Have that as my reflective vest....Maybe on a jersey as well.

Yeah my cough is putting me off getting them at the moment but could get them booked at least I guess.

  • Hehe fair enough. I'll leave mine be I think. When I die of rabies you can say oh well at least he tried.
