I enjoyed that. I think the correct amount of pints were drunk to reach a quorum.

Bus route hills tomorrow. Staying off the quiet bits that might not be gritted

Which hills do you tackle on this? Keen to come along at some point (ill today, though).

• #2089
I'm sure there's a route on Strava if a user could post that here?
But it's a few round College, a few round Stanbourne etc and then over to Kirkdale and Canonbie.
-
• #2090
Ah, Canonbie. Which 'face' or do you do both ways?
-
• #2091
This is usual route at the moment, except ending at Ivy House. Canonbie is up the short way.

Ah cool. That looks pretty similar to the route I used to do when I was 'training' to do a mini 'Tour of Flanders'. Fox Hill and Canonbie Road providing the 'fuck, this is steep' experience I felt I needed to be able to tackle the Koppenberg.

Thought something wasn't feeling right. New chain installed so am in for this evening. Best weather we've had in a while.

Did you replace the chain but keep that chainring?
-
• #2095
Hills, Canonbie pic, pub.
Decent.
-
• #2096
Of course, badly maintained 26k km and it still has all its teeth. Thank god chainrings are tougher than chains.
-
• #2097
Yeah the crank will probably go before the chainring
-
• #2098
The chainring is so worn the gear is probably 2" smaller now
-
• #2099
Cos Miche, yup you probably right. This was my last one:
